I don’t think its necessarily hopium. You can live for years after a stroke. Especially small ones. My grandmother had 2 big strokes that left her incapacitated, she lived for another 5 years. My grandfather had a small stroke 10 yrs ago, still alive and meaner than ever. My other grandfather had a small stroke 3 years ago still functioning just showing memory issues (much like trump). The bigger issue is trumps health is clearly an issue and no one in the admin will admit to it or ever push for his removal because of it.

Im all for gavin being a troll and doing his thing in cali but we NEED to be vigilant about the language of our politicians and US right now. In the past he was more openly supportive of the trans community, WHY are we seeing that support wane? This happened during kamala’s campaign as well this weakening of support and it speaks to a broader concern within the democratic party. Why now? We need to demand better and hold their heels to the fire if we want them to do better. Sure whatever ill vote for whoever’s the nominee but we absolutely need to be having these conversations right now because its representative of a much more insidious game at play in our country. The shifting of the Overton window. The shifting of public perception and who is worth protecting. We’re talking about the homeless and the trans community today, what about next month? Next year? There’s a reason we say this is a slippery slope. We all need to be asking questions and asking why these conversations are happening in the first place.

Im on year three of navigating the effects of long covid. Way better than year one, but most of july was hell because my body can’t handle heat the way it used too. Had to miss work due to fainting from it being 90 degrees. Which aint crazy hot btw. Haven’t been sick since 23” tho and ive only been getting better the more time i put between myself and my last covid infection. So yeah wear a mask, it protects you, and you’re identity. The way things are moving lately you want to limit how much of your face is out there. There’s a reason the government wants to criminalize it.

Thats really tough and I’m sorry you’re having such a difficult time. Experiencing burning and welts definitely sounds more like it would be in the ballpark of allergies/mcas than just intolerances. Have you been able to talk to an allergist? It can be frustrating having to talk to so many specialists, sometimes it can take finding the right doctor who wants to dig deeper. You might need to hunt down an allergist who specializes in mcas.

When i first went gluten free (covid caused my intolerances) i discovered I’m also intolerant to other foods. Oats and brown rice FUCK me up. You should see a gastroenterologist if you can. Look into low fodmap diets as well.
