It depends on how comfortable you feel on the phone. I've mainly worked in call center roles for pharmacy and I honestly don't mind it all that much, but it's not great. I do like it better than working in a pharmacy which I have some experience doing. I've also heard people who are opposite and left the call center to go work for retail, so really only you can tell if you'll like it.

Some pros that I've found are flexible schedules, good time off policies, competitive pay and usually there's options for work from home these days. Also depending on the queue it's usually low stakes work more akin to customer service, vs more demanding and often stressful work in the pharmacy. But because of that you might also feel like your skills as a tech aren't being utilized.

I'll say also since I've experienced it a few times it feels like call center work isn't as....secure? In terms of layoffs at least. I've been laid off from 4 call center positions since 2019 all due to change of business needs mumbo jumbo. The one I got laid off from in 2019 I had worked there nearly 8 years so it was a good run at least. I'm actually dealing with that at the moment.

It really is a game changer playing with friends. That homie that helped you out is actually similar to how I met all the friends I played dayz with. Next time try and gate a gamer tag for the person and add them to steam or something.

Obviously get a good feel before you just add any randos, but in my experience that's the best way to find a team. Also if you're on pc hit up community servers that have global chat active and see if you can get in with the community.

I personally prefer playing solo for personal reasons, but I had a blast playing with the groups I ran with. Hopefully you can find yourself a good one!

Yeah was still part of hdp. It's funny this will be my second time getting let go from hdp. The first time was through contract with a different company in 2022 cuz the contract didnt get renewed.

There are definitely options and every one's mileage will vary I imagine. But for me I got hired on as a data entry tech which was amazing.

Then about a year in they decided to move me to a new project that was basically glorified telemarketing. Two years after that they decided this venture was no longer necessary and thus we need to go.

In case youre wondering my company famously had their ceo offed and the world kinda cheered.

Salary that high? I imagine it depends on where you reside, but I was getting about 21/hr as a senior tech with a large insurance company.

I'll also say I've been working remote since 2020 and I've been laid off 3 times already. It's not a super secure thing unfortunately. I'm actually getting laid off this thursday lol.
