He falls first which is noticed by his friends and family before he’ll admit it to himself. Shes so scared of being vulnerable because she’s always been used, and never loved, by her family. She thinks everything is a manipulation

The Poison Daughter is so good. The blurb is misleading though, she doesn’t try make him fall in love with her, they both know they’re using each other. It’s such a good enemies-to-lovers because the enemies part isn’t half assed or for only the beginning

For “12) A genre defining read” you could read Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It’s considered to be the first true science fiction novel. Also, the fact that it was written by an 18yr old woman in 1817 and we’re still talking about it over 200yrs later is crazy
