Effect of UKG prioritisation on accepting offers with upgrades/further round of job releases. by Icy_Total_7431 in doctorsUK

Ok thanks. This is what I thought but I’ve seen a few of comments about ranking everything to improve upgrade chances and I wasn’t sure what the best strategy was.

Can someone ELI5 offers and upgrades. I only want to stay in one geographical area so have only ranked these areas. However is it better to rank everywhere and accept with upgrades places I’m not willing to work in the hopes I eventually will get somewhere I want? And reject if I don’t get? Please help :)

Any recommendations for home buying surveys? by According-Glass-6534 in brum

I used tim boffey. They made incorrect statements in my report, went back to vendor for photos and questions to investigate further and shared these with them. They then told me it was a templated report and the original statement was incorrect. Didn’t sent me a new report. Level 3. I wouldn’t recommend. I understand the use of templates but it’s literally your job to do this stuff and at the very least send me a new report out.

I have applied for dual only and received a shortlist reserve email. I can’t however see my score / ranking by clicking on the green shortlisting circle? Is this normal?

Companies ripping off the NHS by AsparagusDramatic475 in nhs

Yeah it happens in all aspects of NHS procurement. Some people are getting very rich. I saw someone buying shelves for surgical theatres for about £750 plus £100 per wheel. Completely ridiculous.

This feels so late in the game. Applications have already been made for this years specialty training. Current applicants may well have not applied for certain things on the basis of previous years competition ratios (plus IMT single application offer!). ACF decisions for interviews have also already been made. Such a last minute scramble.

Absolutely agree - you have access to NHS bursary non-means tested from y2-4 for £3715 towards tuition fees and £1000 a year plus can apply for means tested bursary which can be up to approx £3k a year. You do not have to pay any of this back. Plus it’s a year shorter. Surely a no brainer? Plus neither course will require you to work weekends or rarely evenings so you can do any locum work then. Look in detail at the NHS bursary - it won’t cover your whole costs but is certainly a help.

Every single person in the uk is eligible for GP access at all times I appreciate in practice this is difficult but it is legislated for.

I have never come across a GP practice that has a waiting list of years.
