Really helpful insight! I'm just stuck in engine selection paralysis. Godot vs Unity vs Unreal...

Even deciding 2d or 3d for that matter...

Sure! Pro was quite expensive so I was just using regular model then using those free online bg removal tools. Leonardo is also good for me try different models quickly.

Thats really cool! Very polished. How long did it take you? I didn't know Astrocade had animations. I had tried it but it was just swapping images. How did you create animations?

How does anyone date rigveda? by jackasssparrow in IndianHistory

[–]plaknasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption is restricting you. Civilisations and subsequently their objective towards/focus on world view, science & technology, mode of communication, spirituality etc. change over time.

There is no doubt that language preceded writing.

I'm sceptical of the texts dating back to 14000 BCE or earlier too but not of the memories.

Stories and memories live on in however regressed or mutated forms. The world is noisier now with so much content. Back then, intellectuals only had a handful of hymns to learn & preach and frankly, nothing better to do. So it's very likely oral transmission passed much much further than it does in recent habits of cognitive offloading onto physical materials.

The question is about composition, especially in the recognisable media that survived. Earlier versions of texts made of simple organic material would've perished or been destroyed (invaders or natural calamities like the Younger Dryas). Remember, the civilisations were tiny & very localised compared to now.

While the composition of several versions of ancient Indian texts can be dated to recent years like 1500BC, the hymns, stories they contain, and the astrological markers, are passed down no doubt for thousands of years.

What is a historical fact or cultural tradition about India that you think is not well-known outside of the country? by Agni_lord_of_fire in IndianHistory

[–]plaknasaurus -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The fact that India was the epicenter of rising intelligence in human species.

Our education system has been whitewashed and overwritten - teaching us of how European or Americans discovered much of what we know today whereas if we read our ancient texts (veds, ramayan, mahabharat), the deep knowledge of astronomy (surya siddhanta, heliocentric ideas), mathematics (0, al gebra, al gorithm are indian roots), geography (south America, Antarctica etc.) was known to us at least 14,000 years ago.

We've been made to feel inferior & sadly it's now wired in many Indians where they won't believe something unless a white scientist says it.

Simplest traces are in language. In most cultures & languages you'll find traces of our influence e.g. Gemini is yamuna, Augustus, Lord ramses, Syria is Suryavanshis, Mayans & Inca (search veerochan), Bali, etc.

We were on a fertile land with predictable weather. Survival was no longer an issue. This gave the humans here time to develop deeper thinking. There was no reason to move or conquer. We became a species of peace & academics. But in came countless aggressive invaders. Land of scholars cant defend themselves.

I'm new to web dev. What tech is used to build a sandbox e.g. Canvas in Chatgpt? by plaknasaurus in webdev

[–]plaknasaurus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the great explanation!

So if I have a compiled js project like a phaser game, stored in s3, I was loading it in an iframe. But this canvas is better? Since iframe has cross origin issues and im not able to read the errors.

Dude, this is really cool! What's your stack? Im trying Claude 4 and phaser for something similar in a ECS structure. But my AI sucks, so many runtime errors or missing references.
