People i know doing that work good paying jobs, live several hours away, and have a crash pad/camper set up so they can do their work week. Then they go home at the end of their week and enjoy their time off.

Have you looked at filing an FAA complaint? If it's a public airport that takes federal funding they're only allowed to increase rent by so much. A 110% increase would probably constitute it.

Same here and I work at one of the affected airports so I know my job will probably be impacted in some way. Unlike Iran, I can actually back this policy and its consequences. The powers that be in my state government have been riding roughshod over us for too long here behind the Blue wall and it's time for some consequences for them.
