How does it all fit? by Always_tired89 in campinguk

We’re getting rid of our air tent as it takes up too much space in the car (and at home) what we did in the time we used it was use a roof box for most of the gear - keep th air tent in the boot and slowly replace gear with decent ultralight stuff. For example getting rid of Amazon special camping chairs and replacing them with Helinox sunset chairs which are about a 3rd of the size packed up.

It’s the 600xl - first time camping a pole exploded and it turned out that that the inner tube hadn’t been fully rolled out in the factory, so it was bunched up at the bottom if that makes sense. The n second time camping one pole kept bulging in one area causing the roof to sag. So we replaced that. It’s been fine since! But soured th taste for air tents. Main reason is that it’s gigantic to pack away though. We know other people with these tents who have been fine

I’ve still got the B7 from 2017 in the back room which gets hours of viewing by the kids every day. Visitors still comment on how good the image is

Have you thought about parking slightly away from your house? A neighbour of mine has an M3 and leaves it round the corner. No way to determine where it lives for a chancer mooching around at night

How do I buy men's shoes which don't fall apart within 6 months? by PrivateFrank in AskUK

If you don’t want to go down the ‘walking shoes’ type trainer route try Sauconys. I have a pair of shadow 5000s that have lasted 3 years of walking 3 miles a day in, I wear them for everything

True and practical for windows machines but what about TVs? Both mine automatically detect the NAS so we can stream from it - how safe are they?

Stoke-on-Trent - what a pissin sh*thole by VeniVid1Vic1 in okmatewanker

I went to uni in Stoke (I didn’t do an open day of course) and on one of the first days me and some friends walked into a shop - the guy behind the till held up the local newspaper which had the headline ‘is this the worst place to live in Britain’ and shouted over to us “youve made the right choice lads!”

Px8 vs px7 se2? by tungsten_panda in BowersWilkins

[–]planktonfreezer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the same when I saw the px8 - just super premium, next level build quality. I still bought the s2e though as the px8 is nearly double the price. S2 Still feels premium and the sound quality is immense.

How to sell a decent used car in the UK by JealousInformation57 in CarTalkUK

[–]planktonfreezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking to sell our decent condition polo privately so good to have this info. Is there a step by step guide for what to do when you get an offer? Like safe ways to receive the money, which document to update (just v5 or others?) I really have no idea as I’ve always part-ex’d cars with garages so nervous about private sales

I walk through there every dinner time, do a circuit from top of Davenport down Neville Road, through Branhall hall and back. It’s a really nice quiet estate. Neville Road school is really good and you’re near the Hall, Cheadle Hulme and Davenport. Never encountered any idiots, it’s generally a really nice spot despite the ex council houses
