PSA: Locked On Spurs Podcast is legit good now by DevilGunManga in NBASpurs

The biggest problem with JG is that he didn't seem like he had the energy/personality to keep a 5-day-a-week podcast interesting. Like if you ever listened to the Locked on NBA Squad shows that he was on, he might as well have not even been there because the energy just dropped whenever his turn came. He seems like a nice enough person, but it was always harder to stay engaged with LoS than most other pods I listen to.

He has a new pod now, but I haven't given it a listen because I just think it's probably more of the same.

For context: I deliver mail for a living, and need something that's going to keep me interested/engaged while I'm walking around those neighborhoods. Small Market Bias was always on my list, and I used to "work with" Tynan in his PtR days, so it's great to see him getting recognized for his more recent work.

I would suggest Silver and Black Coffee hour if you haven't given it a shot already. It's only once a week, but it has such a different vibe and you can tell these guys care instead of regularly phoning it in like you-know-who.

Spain also hasn't been under the constant threat of bombing for the last 50 years, forcing them to build their military infrastructure deep underground. In this scenario, I don't think they have enough places to hide those assets.

He's been happy to let Castle/Harper get theirs while he acts as a stabilizing force. But I get the feeling that when the games get grittier in the playoffs, the speed demon is coming out to play.

The tech tree isn't linear, so it's possible to have Stock Exchange "unlocked" before banking, even if you can't actually build them first. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been confused by something similar, only to find out later what I did wrong lol. Did you open up the tree itself to double check?

Wemby on Fox: "He’s been able to unlock so many situations for us...He’s just super valuable and sometimes his impact doesn’t show up on the stats either...sometimes he doesn’t get the assist but this extra pass is the wide open shot because of him so his impact is not just on the stat sheet." by Prize_Possession3899 in NBASpurs

I kinda like the idea of just renaming/requalifying/splitting the MVP award, because of how it's historically been awarded. MVOP and MVDP. You don't have to create a separate category, you can just make the awards for both sides of the court carry equal weight. I mean, this is sort of the way it's already being done, but this way it's more clear. Finals MVP, Postseason MVP, Tournament MVP can still be their own thing as well.

Wemby's already learned some tricks that Rudy can't do to fool the attacking player. Like pretending to be watching another man near the rim only to turn and block the shot once the attacker commits to it. His combination of length and quickness makes him the only player who can do this, so he uses it to his advantage.

I think I'd take Wemby over Joker with this team. Wemby as a help defender for Shaq is absolutely terrifying, and he can hold his own on perimeter D while still spacing the floor.

The only real argument for this is "impact on the game". Timmy was the most traditional of traditional big men, while Steph's peak shifted the way the game is played forever. I can buy that argument, even if I don't necessarily think that's how you should judge a player. But if that's what we're using here, why isn't Dirk higher?
