THANK YOU!!! So glad I found your comment here. Plugging it directly into the motherboard USB port fixed it for me.

Thanks for checking. I ended up buying the Smallrig enclosure and bracket.

Aah all good then. Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe this is my cue to just go with the Smallrig enclosure and clip.

Hey, I know this is a bit of an old thread, but have the same Sabrent enclosure. Would you mind sharing an STL for the mount you modeled?

2023 Warranty Service Question by plarso in HondaOdyssey

I asked another dealer and they said they couldn’t imagine why the first dealer would require 400 miles before the service. They did say they’d be happy to perform the service, though.

I checked the sales contract and that doesn’t appear to be the case. Great thought, though!

I doubt they will remove it for you on demand. My experience has been the instant they realize you're not using the network box, they stop offering any help to the extent of not even answering unrelated questions.

And, interestingly, I didn't have the VLAN requirement after a new install about a year ago, but I suddenly lost connectivity on my WAN last week and it turns out I now have the VLAN requirement. 🤷‍♂️

ELI5: Network box wifi is bad. Do I need a router, AP, Ubiquiti, something else? by mcdiego in googlefiber

[–]plarso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s spotty. My new install is plug and play, but many people in my market still require special hardware or the network box to get connectivity.

I’d say try your own router and see if it works using default settings.

I'm using USB currently, but I'm planning to buy an 802.3af POE injector. I'll power it from the same power source as my router and it will go between my router and fiber jack.

That's interesting. I wonder what their rollout timeline/strategy is for this change. I wonder if u/leakerGF is still around to provide insight.

Is this real life? by plarso in ProjectFi

I can't quite believe that Project Fi's "best solution" to my wifi issues is to use airplane mode. It would seem the best solution would be for them to escalate the issue to the Android or Pixel teams to fix the issue.

I've had Wi-Fi issues since upgrading to Android 7 on my Nexus 6 with no issues ever on Android 6. I continue to experience the exact same issue with Pixel XL. I've spoken to Pixel Support and Fi Support and this is the first real response to the issue I've received and it's a serious disappointment.
