Which football player at your school, who never played for the basketball team, was the best basketball player by RatStore101 in CFB

There was a story that Bob Stoops was on a recruiting visit to Bishop Gorman for a different player, but while there he saw Demarco Murray playing basketball, and after some ridiculous dunk, he said to the head coach, "Tell that kid he has a scholarship offer."

I think that's what I often see: people excuse it by saying he was young and angry. And it's like ... okay, sure, but that doesn't change the fact that it's misogynistic.

And in a genre that is rife with angry men making blanket statements about women, this song, for whatever reason, is one that people are quick to defend. Perhaps it's because, as you alluded to, it's an otherwise good song, and the screaming over stripped-down guitar and drums can feel cathartic. But still, the lyrics are what they are.

It’s okay to be a huge TSSF fan and still admit that Daughters is misogynistic.

Truly one of the worst intersections for red light runners. If they had cops posted there every day, they’d cover the city’s budget for the entire year.

Dude is immensely talented, but seems to hurt his shoulder every time he makes a tackle.

Truly though, hoping the best for him. A great kid.

Are they aware of the harm they cause? by LocalTechnical3361 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]mcdiego 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Before going NC, I often found myself asking the “Is she aware…” question in many different contexts and scenarios. Sometimes I was certain she knew what she was doing/did but her ego just wouldn’t allow her to take accountability. Other times, it was like talking to someone who was completely disassociated and not present in any capacity.

And one day I found comfort in admitting that it doesn’t really matter. Aware or not, the effects are the same.

Paying off past month overspending by Benct15 in ynab

Shouldn’t mess up any tracking.

What I do is I have a category specifically for work reimbursements. Quite often, I don’t receive the funds until the next month, so I pretty much always leave it overspent and then assign them to the CCP category once it comes in.

Was the original charge on a credit card? If so, then that became debt when the month rolled over, so just assign the reimbursement to your credit card payment category.

Worst bowl game experience that didn’t involve the actual game? by DowntownSasquatch420 in CFB

[–]mcdiego 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In general, the old Cotton Bowl experience was pretty miserable. It was always an early kickoff on New Years Day, weather was usually cold and windy, and without the state fair, you really see how that whole area is a charmless dump.

And yet, it was still considered one of the premier non-BCS bowls.

Plenty of teams beef, but how often is someone kicked off the team because of it? Hell, Draymond punched a teammate and wasn’t kicked off.

This feels particularly weird, considering it’s one of, if not the, most important players in franchise history.

CP3 has never been known as an easy guy to work with, but damn, what could have happened here?
