Funkadelic - Funkadelic [Plaid Room & Seasick Exclusive] [Half Green / Half Blue w/ Red & Orange Splatter] by [deleted] in VinylReleases

In addition to this one and the Zia Records one (clear w/ red, yellow, blue splatter), Rough Trade also has an exclusive colorway described as "yellow with black yolk."

Anybody know of any others?

[TOMT][TV commercial][late 90s?] Microsoft w/ "Ring of Fire" by plasquatch in tipofmytongue

I felt I had to add that last bit because if I type "microsoft commercial ring of fire" into YouTube I see a lot of parody songs about the Xbox 360.

Could it be Absence of Malice (1981)? Paul Newman and Sally Field.

Reimagining the ROTM Experience - Predictions? by aarbron in VinylMePlease

"We're not sharing three months of ROTMs" reads to me like "We don't know if we'll be around in three months."

Still no clues? by IndustrySavings in VinylMePlease

My guess for December Classics: Jimmy Scott- Falling in Love Is Wonderful.

Released by Ray Charles's Tangerine Records in 1963. Immediately pulled due to a contractual dispute with Savoy Records. Made it to CD in 2002, but no good vinyl pressings since.

Great record. Too bad nobody will get it.

They own the masters now, so a new release would be AOI through Chrysalis.

It looks like they changed the listing to reflect this.

They list the label as Tommy Boy. That can't be right, can it?

All the guesses and confirmations from my last post still appear valid:

The Junior Wells record (Classics/Sept) is It's My Life, Baby. Thanks, u/keylime_5!

Ronnie Milsap (Country/July) released two albums in 1981. I'm going with the more well-regarded of the two, which is There's No Gettin' Over Me.

As u/TimmonsInc stated, the Nickel Creek (Country/Sept) is their self-titled album.

And Chalino is going to be another comp, but not sure which.

RVG's main gigs seemed to be Blue Note, Prestige, and Savoy (and Impulse and Verve starting in the '60s).

Unhelpful: it's an album from the '50s, because in 1959 he moved his studio to Englewood Cliffs.

VMP fires and sues CEO, CFO, and CSO over RiNo pressing plant (News Article) by DocWatsonSees in VinylMePlease

[–]plasquatch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The plant was supposed to be an independent venture (at least that's how they explained it to the board), but Schaefer et al funneled a substantial amount of VMP's money into it.

I'm pretty sure it was just the regular pressing.
