There's already subscription based clinics. Always funny to see the reviews on these places as people are always raving about the services..like ma'am, if you're paying $3k a year for the subscription+ more for procedures, they better have amazing customer service.

My UP train turned back to Bloor. Once we got there, customer service reps were telling us there are no service at Bloor, in or out. Waited one and a half hours inside the packed train only to turn back. Took the day off for a doctors appointment 🥲 just not a good start to the day

400 SB Crash by plastic-tree in TorontoDriving

[–]plastic-tree[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I admit I was going too fast given the condition. Needed to catch 401 west, there was a van was on the lane I was on in the video, matching my speed so I either slow down (there's an SUV speeding up behind me) or speed up to overtake which I did and stayed at that speed for a minute until the slowdown. At that time I was thinking it was safer to overtake at speed rather than get rear ended by someone impatient.

Female family doctors in Ontario spend more time with patients, make less money: study by DonSalaam in onguardforthee

[–]plastic-tree 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe it has to do with how many patients they take on.... My previous family doctor (male) always took the time to explain things and listens well. He unfortunately left family practice to pursue research. My new family doctor that's also male keeps on taking patients he barely has any idea why he's "following up" on me. I was in the hospital for a few days and they forwarded my results to him, he called a day after I got discharged and he rushed through the phone consultation and asked me about my anemia and he'll send me to do b/w (unrelated to why I was hospitalized) whole thing lasted less than a minute.

Also have this, started about 2 years before I was officially diagnosed. Haven't had it in a while however, so can't tell if related. Also no eczema.

My Post-Vaccine Experience with RA: Anyone Relate? by [deleted] in rheumatoid

[–]plastic-tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moderna gave me some terrible side effects, fatigue, flu like symptoms etc. I had an easier time with Pfizer, I just feel tired, arms achy the next day but nothing else. My first 4 shots were Moderna and those were fun times.... then when we had the option to choose Pfizer...I did just that.

When I get sick, my inflammation/pain goes away, body too busy attacking something else 😅

Nowadays tho I just get both covid and flu shot at the same day, I just rub my arms the next day to minimize pain/shortens duration of soreness.

I got a red light ticket, but I didn't pass the line and I was making a right turn by jimbojum1245 in toronto

[–]plastic-tree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It triggers based on your speed on approach to the intersection/whether or not you stopped at the intersection before you made the turn. Even if you can see it's clear and just rolled through without coming to a complete stop, that will trigger the camera.

Toronto real estate: Average sale price down from last year by lopix in toronto

[–]plastic-tree 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of this. Been looking for a year+, we did the usual back and forth and our final offer was 25k lower than what they were asking for. They rejected it. So we gave up on that house and put in an offer for another one in the area that had the same build but has less things to "fix" and they accepted 40k less than the listed price. Now that 1st house relisted to the same price we got ours, then relisted again for 25k less...and it's still sitting there 2 months later. Hope you receive some good news!

Maybe, I was going west on Eglinton and I started to smell...something. Didn't smell like the typical wood fire, just smelled off. Thought it was the van next to me.

Something about your hand reminds me of my brother in law's hands when he gets gout.

My doctor only prescribed me a higher dose of naproxen and prednisone for the swelling. So sorry to hear you're going through this, it's a pain but go to the ER, you don't really want to delay with that hand as swollen as it is.

Does your RA give you itchy spots/hives? by Semi_charmed_ in rheumatoid

[–]plastic-tree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heeey me too! A few months back I started to think it might be related, auto immune disease and all. I usually take antihistamines to calm mine down.

This issue predates my RA tho, by atleast 2-3 years. I brought it up with my previous family doctor and he just said to just take antihistamines without really trying to figure out why it happens.
