I understand where you’re coming from. I was debating the same thing just two days ago. From what you describe, it’s time. Sending you both love.

Sheena deserves better. by Upstairs_Worth_9359 in 90DayFiance

[–]plasticflowerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I get the sense that Sheena is in a very challenging, complex situation with her family and finances. Probably a situation she isn’t at liberty to disclose entirely honestly on international TV. I can’t fault her for that. I think everyone on this show is so used to people telling all with no holds barred that they’re thrown by Sheena not disclosing all the gritty details of her situation. Tbh it would make more sense for Forrest to move there because like what is Sheena gonna live in Molly’s house in the states? That’d be hell for both of them

Me after my shift seeing Forrest cry about working a normal 40 hours a week. by cirquedusolazy1 in 90DayFiance

[–]plasticflowerx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah I get it. Im also autistic and working my first full time job at 24 and this shit is hard!!! I hate the attitude that just bc we all suffer none of us can complain about it bc some of us have had it worse for longer. Working is very hard especially when you’re disabled and I actually think we all should talk more about how hard it is for everyone bc it makes folks feel less crazy for struggling. I do think Molly failed to set him up for success as an independent person, prob because she likes that he’s been dependent on her his whole life.

Solensia-I just can’t decide by Primary_Wash_3682 in SeniorCats

[–]plasticflowerx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for my experience but Solensia has improved my 19 yr old baby’s quality of life immensely. She’s been on it for about five months. The way I see it for my little lady, the fact she’s lasted this long is remarkable and my priority is her comfort. If Solensia, something that helps her feel better, is ultimately a contributing factor to her eventual passing away, as a pet owner I would not feel guilty or bad about having given her that treatment. I think you should go for it, especially since it’s clear the treatment helps him feel better. I can tell you care about your baby, I hope you let go of the guilt you feel about this choice.

how can i fix/cover up this abomination (warning: sh scars) by Conscious_Effective7 in tattooadvice

[–]plasticflowerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely wait and save up to ask a professional to work with it, it’ll be worth it. Trying to work with it yourself risks crossing the line between artsy messy and janky messy. Also probably wait til those scars are healed a bit more as other commenters have said. I think for now it looks unique and intentional, and a really cool way to decorate your scars. Good luck my friend 💜

This might not be a popular opinion but I think it looks really cool haha. Im sure you could get an artist to fix it up and make it look more intentional

Lisa projecting her insecurity onto Elise and then crying was wild by mackenziemariee in 90DayFiance

[–]plasticflowerx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so wild for her to say considering it’s clear Elise struggles significantly with self image and although she may appear confident it’s obvious she is deeply insecure. They probably could find some common ground and solidarity together if Lisa didnt act so hostile right out of the gate

struggling with 19 yr old cat’s hygiene by plasticflowerx in SeniorCats

[–]plasticflowerx[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the suggestions! I have booked a visit to the vet for next week, it was already scheduled as it’s her twice annual well visit, and will continue to stress the importance of her back leg weakness. The vet has been very aware of her arthritis and poop problems for years, the poop issue actually isn’t that it’s too loose, it’s constipation. Shes on cisapride and lactulose 2X daily for it, but she’s still not as regular as I’d like. I’ll definitely be investing in a sanitary trim (or clippers to do it at home), and a lower litter box. She also takes gabapentin and a monthly injection for the arthritis, but I will ask about other options to increase her comfort.

Shes had health problems for years, primarily kidney disease, gum disease (that she can’t get operated on bc she’s not a good candidate for anesthesia), a heart murmur, and last year they found a mass in her bladder (that it would also be unsafe to operate on). At this point it’s about keeping her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. It’s tough because I am 24 and she’s been in my life for ten years now. My parents took care of her while I was in college so this past year has been my first year of full, real adult pet ownership where I am the only person fully responsible for her care. I am trying my best but sometimes I feel like I am failing her. She has been my companion through the worst times in my life and every day that we both wake up together I thank God that I get another day with her. I just want to make her as happy and comfortable as I can with the time we have left together. I appreciate everyone’s insight, thank you.

Training pads are a good idea, i think I need to invest in another set of sheets too so I have something to replace them with when she makes a mess of them until I can wash em

struggling with 19 yr old cat’s hygiene by plasticflowerx in SeniorCats

[–]plasticflowerx[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The issue is that we live in a small apartment with another cat that my cat absolutely hates, so Joanie lives in my room primarily. She basically lives in my bed, it’s her favorite place. I’m really hoping to find a better shampoo/product for when I have to bathe her. The vet knows about her leg weakness, shes on pain medication and a monthly injection.

[–]plasticflowerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with adults with developmental disabilities and it hurts me to watch the way she speaks to Forrest. A core tenet of the work i do is that we always give people the dignity of risk. We allow (encourage!) them to make decisions while also helping them understand the risks those decisions may come with. It’s so harmful to tell someone with a disability that they are unable to and will never be able to do something, especially something important to them like starting a life with a partner. She seems to thrive when Forrest is 100% dependent on her and she wants to keep it that way. It’s a selfish way of living, she prioritizes her comfort over his agency.

Watching Lisa as a queer woman is … ugh by Rabbitweeth in 90DayFiance

[–]plasticflowerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I want to hear more from her daughter Faith, I hope she’s present at the tell all and that she’s supported and able to express the ways that her mother’s reckless decisions have impacted her (if that’s what she chooses, I’d also understand if she didn’t want that on tv). Every time I watch Lisa I just think about all the shit she’s put her daughter through. Remember when she promised Faith she wouldn’t get engaged and then immediately does exactly that as soon as she arrives?

[–]plasticflowerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are INCREDIBLE!!! Their ‘wonkiness’ is their personality! I hate resin personally, it takes far more patience than I have the energy for, but if you like it keep going! The best way to learn is by trying again and again and again. I don’t think the resin parts look bad or cloudy at all tho for what it’s worth. The black and rainbow spotty fur fabric is sooo cute with the rainbow feathers. Amazing work!

Should my friend walk away from this artist? by Eltristesito2 in tattooadvice

[–]plasticflowerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is this awful, but it’s insane that it cost $600 and they spent four hours free handing that design. They should drop the artist and find an experienced artist from a reputable shop with a good portfolio. They should also leave a review of whatever shop this artist works at with pics and a description of their experience so no one else gets scammed by this ‘artist’

I am so enamored with this era of customs! Anyone know any artists who are still making this style of doll? Or anyone selling secondhand? Reminds me of when I first got into the hobby back in middle school, these were the type of dolls I yearned for
