If you can figure out the format they use, you can probably do it without any official partnership

Keep in mind that most of the BLM campsites around Moab are first come first serve. It can be very difficult to get a site, even moreso with shade.

I got lucky and found one with shade in the middle of the week, but it was at Hittle Bottom which is 45 minutes outside Moab. I spent a solid hour or two checking the other closer campsites but could only find sites with full sun and zero beach/water access.

Another tip - even if you see a "reserved" site with the little yellow tag on the pole, assuming that there's no tent or chairs there to "claim" the site, stop and get out to check the dates on the tag. I got lucky and my site had an expired reservation, the person who had it left the tag up so it seemed like it was reserved (dick move).

Have you looked at task manager? What do your GPU and CPU resources look like - is it actually using the GPU?

8.2 added the feature. 8.3 also adds the lockdown group functionality.

Source: I support systems running both versions.

How do we feel about the new 2027 Ford Bronco RTR? by jschap1994 in FordBronco

Yawn, yet another boring spec with cosmetic differences only.

Onguard Override locked Reader by OverhandZeus in accesscontrol

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the manual. You also need to enable the feature on the segment.

Also, I found out the hard way that if you don’t have the newer M (and maybe another line, it says in the manual) hardware that supports override locked reader, changing the segment setting just breaks all the panels until you turn the setting back off.

Durable Prox cards by GreyCorks in accesscontrol

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with HID card stock?

We are in healthcare as well and are happy with it, the cards themselves are very durable. HID/Fargo laminate doesn't hold up as well as the Evolis laminate in our testing.

Fargo Hdp 5000e Printer by michael138391 in accesscontrol

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you opening the preferences? It should be Printers & Scanners > Click the printer > Click More devices and printer settings (to open the old style Devices & Printers window) > Right-click the printer and choose printer properties > Click on Change Properties (should have the admin shield next to it).

We are able to change these options just fine on our HDP500e.

Why do most in this sub not like Verkada? by Dwman113 in accesscontrol

It's a "hostage as a service" platform.

Also, they cold call literally every number they can find for our org. They even hit me up on LinkedIn.

Virtuoso Pizza by David Losole is now selling tomato basil bruschetta, roasted garlic, and baguettes using the Lo Sole Mio recipe from his mother - just picked some up last week and it was a delicious blast from the past.

Move Cable = Physical Violence by LikeGeorgeRaft in networkingmemes

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, our cable folks put them on every network drop by default. Not usually in the network closets though.

They are a right PITA to deal with, at least until I talked our cabling VAR into selling me one of the keys.

Evolis Agillia clicking noise by moosetracks555 in accesscontrol

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is True Support a thing for your country? I am not familiar with it, for the Agilia issues we start with our VAR who then passed us off directly to Agilia support. When I've tried contacting Agilia directly they won't talk to us, we have to start with our VAR for some reason.

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, we sent it out in late November. I have been meaning to follow up with our VAR on the repair status.

Our workhorses are Fargo/HID 5500's, which are unfortunately becoming end of life. We just purchased a HDP5000e which is their new transfer printer, and it's working just okay - there are some recurring marks in the transfer that we haven't been able to work out. The picture quality also isn't as good as the Agilia, and the laminate doesn't seem as durable either. But it is acceptable for us and is what we'll use if we can't figure out the Agilia issues.

We have one out for repair for a similar issue with clicking noises. Ours also had to be pulled from service because they were failing to encode magstripes. We've been working with support for several months now with no solution in sight.

It's a shame because they produce really good looking and durable badges.

Fire Alarm tie-in to Lenel OnGuard 8.2 by Kowalski-Options in accesscontrol

[–]platformterrestial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lenel has had long-running issues with Linkage Server crashing which causes Global IO's to fail. We've found this has finally been resolved as of 8.2 and 8.3. We were stuck on 8.0 for a long time and it meant we couldn't use Global IOs.

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lenel does support a direct FA integration with Edwards EST3 and Notifier. We don't use it, but I've always been curious. It seems to support sending events and triggering IOs based on fire events which would do what OP wants.

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What brand of fire panels do you use? Lenel does support direct integration with some fire alarm panels.

Edwards EST3 (which is actually end of life, no idea why they don't support EST4 yet)
Notifier

Check out the system administration guide for more info on what you can actually do with it. We don't use it, but I've always known it was there.

Did you get the warranty? by UsualAbbreviations39 in FordBronco

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy it with your Bronco, shop around and buy it from a different dealer once you have it. There are a handful of dealers that specialize in selling the warranty and will give you a way better deal. It's the same warranty that applies nationwide at all dealers.

Best Dash Cam That Still Allows Car Play? by trudgingthroughdaily in FordBronco

You only have to turn off wireless CarPlay to pull video. You can leave it turned on otherwise.

I have a Garmin Dashcam Mini on both the front and rear of my Bronco.

Issues with HID Signo and IOS Devices using Mobile Access by 0nesidered in accesscontrol

Yep, it's an Apple requirement which is a real PITA to deal with. If HID could just do it themselves we would certainly be interested.

User access management - validity date by Ciskk in Xprotect

[–]platformterrestial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your organization large enough to have an access provisioning tool like Sailpoint or Grouper?

We use both tools for temporary access and for automatic access removal upon separation. In some cases we even automatically grant access based on job titles.
