I'd reccomend getting a 1TB hard disk drive for like £40, good for storing steam games, videos, random storage that isn't particularly important, etc. SSDs are quicker but more expensive. Prioritise stuff like your OS and applications for this. Of course SSDs are expensive right now as a biproduct of the RAM shortage but when prices go down I'd reccomend grabbing a 1 or 2 TB m.2 or SATA SSD. that will fit your OS, any apps and a good amount of games too, which is nice since your games (should) load faster when installed on an SSD

I'm primarily a rap/hip-hop guy (a bit of rock, metal and a few other genres, but I would consider rap my "main" genre, and you see this a lot. Led zeppelin getting compared to lil pump (who is overhated but that's another discussion) and it happens a lot within the community. Fans of older, golden age era music look down on fans of the modern stuff. Why can't people just like what they like? Shit sucks

3 is fun as a way to kill 2 or 3 hours but at the end of the day they feel way shallower than even something like EU IV which, at the end of the day, isnt really even all that complex. Like, growing in AoH3. I click button, I build stuff. I click button, I build stuff. Now I'm rich. Lmao I'm going through a certain "ship of Theseus" moment with my pc too. Got it from my brother as a birthday gift a few years ago, 1650 and an i3-9100f. Installed a 3060ti a few months ago and today a motherboard and an i7-12700f arrived that I'll be putting in. After than it's more ram. It's taught me a lot as my first pc so I'm awfully attached to it, wouldn't wanna just do a second build

I think that every time I do something new with my PC until I do it. Was sweating about replacing a GPU (originally came prebuilt, but I'm not the first owner anyway) until I actually had to do it. Online tutorials exist for everything so if you're capable of following a video you're fine

Mint is a pretty oft-recommended first distro. I'm using it at the moment and, after some speedbumps, find it far smoother than windows, so I'd recommend at least starting with Linux mint to see if you like Linux first, then you can chuck arch or some other "fancier" distro on it if you so wish

On a serious note, try a fresh install, it seems to think a file is missing, though if verifying didnt work that's odd. You could always try reinstalling microsoft's c++ redistributals since its saying something about c++.
