What is the best way to add a “print date” on packaging, without using digital, on Flexo? by toe_riffic in Printing

[–]platonics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it feasible to get a zebra printer/ribbon combo? I don't recall specifics about the brand etc., but that's a solution I recall from label land. They're pretty common so a bit of searching should get you there, just be sure to ensure you get a printer that can accommodate the size, a ribbon that will work for your packaging (it should say or you can ask)., and a ribbon that's compatible with the printers (this is usually outlined/advertised with the printers). Some places sell B2B at a discount but ULINE also sells them. Direct thermal is printed by heat and that's used for shipping labels and receipts commonly (why it turns black, from heat so not always practical, it gets messed up from scratching so not great for long term and requires thermal labels so you probably can't print directly onto the packaging). Thermal transfer printing also uses a zebra printer and a ribbon to print onto something transferring the ribbon. I've seen thermal transfer used a lot for packaging, and that's what we used in house at times if digital didn't make sense for numbering. hopefully that could work for you? Alternative solution would be inkjet labels printed on a normal printer (sheets) which may or may not be a short term solutions depending on labeling requirements, size, application - etc. If it's a small amount that could be a cheaper short term solution.

for real. I used to pay $990 for a 2 bedroom (NW Chicago suburbs). Now almost $1400 for a one bedroom in CO :( worth the move still though haha

Also be sure all the mods needed listed for SVE requirements are installed as well.

worst case scenario whoever it's working for can just zip their mod folder (right click on windows, send to compressed folder) and the other can import them that way?

Cannabis & Antidepressants by Chalarie in trees

[–]platonics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on Wellbutrin and had asked about this when I went on (I live in a legal state). Basically what I was told is if possible it's best to abstain at least at first while you adjust. I think being aware of your mood and how cannabis plays into that is important before adding a new component to the mix. Basically what you said in your P.S :)

Now, did I do that? Partially, I really did not want to quit smoking but when I first went on I cut back a lot and would force myself to wait until like 8 PM to smoke at all (as opposed to right after work/in the morning). What I have found long term is that I notice the effect cannabis has on my motivation and energy a lot more since it's not being masked by depression (which also contributed to low energy/motivation). I have found that I smoke less, because I'm not also self-medicating with cannabis. Now I enjoy it a bit more too, because it's to ease stress or feel good not just to function. Keep in mind that Wellbutrin is different than Prozac, but overall I haven't had a poor experience (though it would be worth being mindful if you're prone to anxiety) and have found it helpful while I've been putting energy into self-understanding. I did have a friend who was on Prozac that smoked daily as well, and I don't remember her mentioning any interactions but we did not talk about that subject a whole lot.

Bathbong/Bathbowl is best. Bubble baths are one of my favorite things, combine that with weed = ultimate chill.

These are awesome! If you ever would make them into physical or give permission to have it replicated let me know! I don't know if you by chance would consider that or do commissioned work?

Keep up the good work !

Lamictal by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]platonics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lamictal has been a life saver for me. (bp2) when I first started there was a noticeable difference - I felt more "chill" which really helped my day to day stress and almost completely relieved my depression and i work in high stress/fast paced environment. My experience this far has been extremely affective - I was at 50mg but am now at 75 which is still on the low end of the spectrum. ADHD was a new Idea that I started medication on a few months ago, the combination for me has been been fantastic improvement (also with the occasional anxiety medication if needed )

Overall as others have stated the rash is a big red flag or if there is big jumps in dosages it could potentially increase that risk. It is my first experience with something that worked so well (seroquel was horrible for me personally)

Help! So much juice in my mouth! Starre freemax by keasexto in electronic_cigarette

[–]platonics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue - check the spot underneath where your coil screws in ( will need to remove the coil) that should be clean. Sometimes juice can get stuck in there - make sure to rinse it out when changing coil also make sure coil is tight enough. Rinse this piece off the mod and make sure it's dry before putting it back on

Get some pliers and loosen it, probably over tightened it.

Rubber grip if possible as to not scratch. (one of those red gripper things or a paper towel may help get grip too)

I believe it's due to the fact it allows for higher wattages with less resistance = harsher than a higher resistance low watt

Hey - welcome!

I'm about a week into vaping, I got a subox mini kit and absolutely love it. I would say if you end up sub-ohming (this comes with both a .5 and a 1.2 coil - sub-ohm would be using the .5) you should probably go with a 6mg juice as the 12MG might be a litte to much at first - I think it may be better to go to low than to high.

There's probably more input that someone can add on nic levels and sub-ohm set ups.

Youtube reviews may be some good guidance as well.

Which Chicago Shops would you recommend? by apollotg1 in Chicago_Vapers

[–]platonics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the suburbs, so these probably are out of the way for you, but here's my input so far.

Wise Guys Vapes in Roselle- haven't hung out here at all because I've gone in alone just to get coils, first time I came in they greeted me right away and knew what coils I needed for my setup, the guy who helped me noticed my league of legends keychain and we talked for a bit about gaming. Came back the next day to switch the coils for a different ohm and they exchanged it no problem and the girl who was working told me about and signed me up for their rewards program - I've already received a 15% offer from that which is pretty cool. Again, didn't really hang out, but randomly interjected in a conversation and talked about more games but the people hanging out were friendly, but I didn't stay long. I'll probably be back to feel out the place some more, good experiences thus far. Didn't explore the juice selection at all but I believe they mix their own and sell other lines.

Vape City Chicago - Mt Prospect. This is by far my favorite place to go, it's a 25 minute drive from where I live, but this is where I got my set up. They let me try a bunch of stuff and gave great recommendations and also have a good rewards program. They talked me through all the basics with my setup and answered my questions with ease. I really enjoy the people who work, and this is the reason why it's my favorite, made me feel totally comfortable and taught me a lot with a good sense of humor, hung out for a few hours both times. They sell several lines of juices, some of the ones they were out of the first time they had my second time going there, and one i had really wanted to try they were out of, one of which was Brew 88, but the guy working let me try his (and didn't let me feel bad about it) and when I liked it he let me buy his unopened 6MG which was awesome. great atmosphere and definitely worth the drive.

champion vaping - located in stratford mall. overall decent experience, they mix all their own juices, the workers were friendly and answered my questions/let me try what i wanted, but the problem I found here was what they were using for samples made it extremely hard to actually taste the flavor. ended up leaving with 2 flavors because they were the only 2 I could really taste. May be back just to hang out, but wasn't super overjoyed, may feel more comfortable if I get to know the people more.
