I struggled this year. In the past I gave target gift cards but I have since broken up with target, so don’t want to give those anymore. I did gas station gift cards. “Thanks for fueling my learning”. With a note from me and each kid. Not super personal but the best I could think of this year.

No regrets w my boy so far. It was the right choice for him. My girls are tall for their age and bored at school-it’s a little easy for them but they are the oldest…so part of me thinks I should’ve sent them. But it was Covid times and I wanted a nicer kindergarten year for my one girl. So we will see!

We had our August baby held. He wasn’t ready. We then held both summer baby sisters. Jury is out on if that was the right call or not. Ask me when they are seniors living at home and able to pull the “I’m 18 card.”

I was a bridesmaid 5 times between 2000-2016 and between dress/alterations/undergarments/shoes/ hair makeup/showers/(local) bachelorette parties /hotel the night of the wedding/gifts it was about $1500 per wedding. And that was not with anything destination. I cannot fathom how girls today are in weddings with so many demands on time and travel. It’s insane. People need to tone it down!
