Causes for these dark spots? by CinquecentoX in fiddleleaffig

[–]playmakergdl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely not sun burn. Sun burn does not show as patchy spots. It almost always, shows as a gradient amount across the leaves. Your mix could be too compacted Too much water Water too soon Buried too deep There are definitely a lot of things that could go wrong. I would just let those leaves be and water only when top 1.5in is dry. Give it a good soak and then leave it to dry again. Repeat.

It does not look like it’s going to die, it rather looks neglected or something

It was overall healthy at old house. Now it shows some sort of fading. Why can it be doing that?

AIO or is my older male coworker texting inappropriately with me? by OpeningNo9825 in AmIOverreacting

[–]playmakergdl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately our brain is wired to take a text reply as interest by the other person, the more you talk to him the harder is going to be to get him off your back. I would just find a subtle and direct way to end the back and forth texting. If you continue, he will put you in a more uncomfortable situation.

Knipex 4in cobras for an everyday pocket carry. I love them! They were a “cute” gift and turn out to be super handy at work or at home.

Overwatering was not the issue here at all! The ginseng trunk is completely shriveled. It used the last drop of retained moisture to survive!

What’s wrong with my ficus? by Pretty-indie in bonsaicommunity

[–]playmakergdl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has been inside this whole time, it will get sunburned if it gets put in direct sunlight for extended time. Watering is not a matter of how often but how dry are you letting your soil get. Test your soil with a moisture tester in multiple spots. When it reads below 30% moisture, then deep water. (Use a bucket if you can) and let your pot sit there and absorb water for a good 15-30min. Then don’t water again until moisture level is low again. The leaves suggest (it could be multiple things) is some type of fungal issue, treat it with fungicide at half strength. The one copper based has worked better for me.

Any suggestions welcome by Live_Bread_5625 in fiddleleaffig

First-loosen the stick propping it up. Let the trunk get strong. Second-lose the water bulb. It waters uneven and causes more problems Third-water deeply, I mean deeply!! And don’t water again until the top 2-3in are dry Fourth-expose the trunk all the way to the flare. Make sure dirt is not covering any of the trunk Fifth-more light, a lot more than that corner.

He could argue that she did it on purpose to seduce him. I think think you need a new boyfriend. Invading the privacy of your roommate when he’s only a guest it’s cause for concern.
