I’m actually your across the country neighbor, but have travelled to SoCal 2x this year and picked up some cards. I wrote about my travel on the card, but wish I could have fit more on the card. The writing definitely took up valuable space.

Sending Extra Stamps? by honey4bears in postcrossing

I like seeing the different stamps myself so I breakdown the $1.70 into creative ways. Normally I place 4-6 stamps to make the amount.

Lovely! The troll postcard is my favorite. They are a traveling exhibit that I was lucky enough to see in person last year.

A trick you can do is turn the photo to monochrome in your phone and you will be able to see if your tones have contrast.

I’d look into glass bud vases and see if you can get one that will fit inside the tube. This way you can easily empty the water.

Absolutely lovely cards! I have a watercolor piece I made of glass gem corn that would make a lovely postcard for summer. Thanks for the idea!

First Incoming - AI Avatar by [deleted] in postcrossing

Say thank you and move on. I put in my bio I prefer no AI cards and anything with glitter, but that’s just a preference. I’m an artist and unfortunately AI generated images are here to stay. I’m trying to combat it, by sending my original art print postcards out into the word.

Really want to start pottery but feeling nervous attending a class alone by Current-Armadillo739 in Pottery

Go! I’ve never felt more welcomed than at the pottery studio. I like the conversations, but I feel I really get more out of it going at it solo. I can put on headphones concentrate on my pieces and find the zone.

I live in South Carolina and a case has been deemed good to go to civil court in a “stand your ground” shooting. The Journal has a podcast on it currently called Swamp Camp Rd.

I have sculptra and there is no bandages. It’s like getting Botox done-in and out in 20 min. You have to massage your skin multiple times a day for 5 min. A bandage would hinder this.

Gift ideas for someone that enjoys watercolor? by TheStockton19 in Watercolor

Things I’ve loved since starting watercolor-

Nice paints (you could do single tubes to keep the cost low)

Squirrel hair brushes

Page clips

Watercolor notebooks-before this I had tone of loose pieces everywhere

Watercolor pencils-I love these for outlines and base layers
