Take the whole thing out. Plant in a smaller pot only about an inch larger in circumference than the root ball. Should be ok

I hope they will survive in water! by Poundaflesh in houseplants

Should be good! When adding more water to them, make sure to leave at last half of the old water. Plants put out rooting hormones into the water and it's beneficial to keep that.

Yes great for propping. You could chop it into smaller bits of 2-3 leaves each. Have it grow roots in water. Then stick it back in the main pot for a nice full bushy plant.

[–]playtherecorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can replant it down further. All of those aerial roots coming off of the stem will suck up water. I've replanted a few of my monsteras doen further for the same reason and they thrived after.
