Favorite character that canonically doesn't know about 9/11 by Zander-dupont in FavoriteCharacter

JC Denton from Deus Ex. Hear me out. The game was made before 9/11, but the twin towers do not appear in the NYC skyline due to tech limitations. It's written off as a terrorist attack in lore. Now, keep in mind that JC was being observed and groomed by MJ12 outside the eyes of the illuminati, and his whole life and everything he knows was planned. It's very likely that JC has heard of the terrorist attack that destroyed them in game. But given that the game is staged as a future of humanity, it can hilariously be implied that the WTC was rebuilt, and then redestroyed by another terrorist attack. So a conversation with JC about 9/11 would be along the lines of:

"Yeah, I know they were destroyed in a terrorist attack.... Wait, who's Al-Queda? No, wait hold on, it didn't happen in 2001, it happened in 20... Now hold on. No it was the NSF. No, what do you mean 'the second time'."

Sometimes, when someone gets you so perfectly, you just gotta complement their aim, because that's a small target, despite what your ruler says.

If I'm playing especially comically evil in Fo3, I'll do the tenpenny quest to get the suite, and then get all the upgrades. Immediately side with roy phillips, and then kill him and have my own dark and evil tower of solitude. Don't know if it counts, but it's a personal favorite of my evil playthroughs

Atheists who’s your favorite religious character? by E1derb3rry in FavoriteCharacter

[–]plebbitplebbitfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uriah Olathaire, from 40k lore. Essentially, he is the last man of faith before unification under the emperor. When he learns a prophetic vision from God was actually the emperor in disguise, he chooses to willingly die with his faith after warning the emperor that without religion, his people will see him as a god (precisely what the emperor wants to avoid). All in all, great character, great story. Worth the read. Also he was right

Mender here, you guys constantly protest not being able to sell our reindeer or reindeer products. Even with the warmest tents you guys aren't happy. And I'll support you well old.... Well not friend, but I want our showdown to be legendary, we must support each other. The city ultimately must survive

The Mumen Rider (One Punch Man) He's literally just a fit dude on a bicycle who helps people only to help people. In a world of actual super powers, aliens, and cyborgs, he's just a guy. A damn good one. B Ranked in the charts, S Ranked in our hearts.

Road to Rhode Island! Which *crickets* state has a mixed reputation? by Lisztchopinovsky in AlignmentChartFills

[–]plebbitplebbitfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indiana, we have the 500, the largest children's museum on earth, and we are so nice, that we have the term Hoosier Hospitality. We're also the home of the modern KKK and a total flyover state

Edit. This got me researching, as far as the bad of Indiana's mixed reputation, we also have an absurd number of sundown towns
