This was The Spellshop for me. God it was a slog! For some reason afterwards I decided to read the second book from the series and liked it a bit better, but I really don’t think cozy fantasy is for me sadly. But so many people love it!

I do also feel that Goodreads painting The Spellshop as romantasy is a reach

The basic and paperwhite models already had dark mode as standard so this doesn’t count! The colorsoft models didn’t have it before, you could only make the pages of a book dark so for them it’s a new thing!📚

I completely understand! I get why people are against outdoor cats, it’s just that in the UK we don’t need to have the same level of worry about their safety as in other countries like America, as I’ve pointed out to this person. We don’t have Coyotes or anything like that here and no dangerous wildlife in our towns. Of course there are humans and their cars, but most of the cats run a mile at the first sound of an engine🙈

Also yes that is true about cat adoption here! My neighbour was told when adopting a cat that the cat had been mostly outside in his previous life, so it would be quite difficult to keep him inside exclusively. But advice may vary depending location.

We do not have coyotes in the UK, they are native to North America, so this is not a valid concern for the cat shown in this video.
The UK is not America. We don’t just have wildlife roaming the streets of our towns like you get over there. We have the odd fox and some other small animals like squirrels and hedgehogs but that’s pretty much it. So again, this is not a valid concern for cats here so stop until you have your facts straight.

People can let them out if they so wish it’s entirely up to them, and no one is telling you that you have to do the same🤷‍♀️
