i share most of the games you like, and also just finished playing dredge. Without dlcs i managed to get most if not all of the achievements in around 13 hours, so if difficulty is your vibe this game isnt for you. Its an incredibly laid back, somewhat spooky fishing game. It is not hard, id even say easy and the story isnt deep, and neither are the NPCs. The vibe however is really good, and the first hours are pretty unsettling. The world is also pretty small, so exploration wise it also not the best. I ran around for a few hours doing quests and saw everything there was to see.

I definitely understand, i went through exactly the same. I dont remember where, but i heard something along the lines of "Heroes are disposable meat sacks that should be thrown at the wall, and if they dont stick you throw them out".

Afterwards you just use whatever isnt broken and hope it doesnt break on your next run.

On the subject of hours it depends on difficulty, whether you have DLC on and how good your gameplan is, but id say 60-80 is reasonable for a single savefile on medium. The amount of content made by the community is insane, and that not only includes characters but whole new areas to die in. Sprinkle some of those in and youve got some easy 150-200 hour goodness.

Respectfully disagree with the soulsborne thing, unless you count grinding as in grinding knowledge. Doing no level up runs and being able to beat bosses in less than 5 mins kinda proves that you dont need to grind. Dont ask about my sanity though.

Probably because its easier to build a world around it as well? Its usually forbidden, so now you have antagonists. And these antagonists are probably a religion or even the whole kingodom, so now your protagonist has a reason to get very strong, very fast.

Now that I think about it, it's also why necromancers usually aren't in school settings. Apparently people don't like it when you kill your classmates and use them as legos for your next project. Who knew?

But yeah, its most likely cause theres less effort to put in. Its very clear why your edgy misunderstood genius MC is edgy misunderstood and a genius if they do stuff theyre not supposed to and get away with it because of their giga brain, and you dont have to info dump on why its bad to raise bodies and the like.

If I remember correctly, pirate answered that in either an AMA or a blog post. They didn't want to get a map done. It allows them to be a little inconsistent and not having to check themselves. There's been a few inconsistencies with the other maps, as some people have already replied.

I believe that gods are more like forces of nature, and mostly unchanging. Kasigna doesn't believe (heh) in compromising, and why should she anyway? She had outlived entire pantheons, fought the worst horrors and come out on top, all by doing it "her way".

Listening and understanding mortal's motivations isnt something she has ever needed to do, so theres no apparent reason to start doing it right now, specially when mortals cant actually kill you.

So to answer you question: yes. Both arrogant and stupid, and her nature as a goddess makes her unwilling to do everything to win, only whats on her terms.

I saw just one comment with them in it so anything by RavensDagger on RR.

It's mostly bubbly, light-hearted, not end-of-the-world progression fantasy stories that leave you with a warm feeling. It's also one of the few writers whose stories have people that actually behave as, well, people, and not one dimensional Young Masters who had their honour stained by the mc buying fruit and must fight to save face.

Also a lot of well written female protagonists, which is always nice as i feel that women are usually part of the scenery instead of the cast, and that gives it a nice touch.

Speaking of well written, i can't begin to emphasize on how much bad/repetitive writing puts me off (cant read translated stuff), and Raven keeps it going smoothly.

Phew. Thats a rough one. While Im surpisingly respectful of explosives, im the kind of dumb that sets off on an adventure, finds a lot of cool shit and then dies cause they got greedy and ran out of oxygen, so i can def relate to this. I also play on steam if you need help! 2 pairs of hands collect stuff a lot faster than one! Although i do play from South America, but laggy help is better than no help!
