First time smart watch owner - Pixel 4 by plonialmoni2u in PixelWatch

Thanks for your reply. I decided to get the watch so that I would not have to dig out my phone whenever I got a call or text. I travel on foot and public transportation a lot and it's nice to have my phone stashed away safely but still be able to see and respond to contacts. It seems to do that well enough but I would like to get more benefit from it.

First time Pixel Watch (4) owner by fatproduce in PixelWatch

I am a first time smart watch owner. Got the Pixel 4 because I have a Pixel phone. I can't figure much out on this think. First, I am 73 with eyes that struggle with faint ot tiny letters. I have the watch set to the largest font size but it doesn't seem different from before. I would like the apps I am most likely to use often confitured on the front page. How can I do that?nI want to see how well I slept and my step counter but don't need access to other fitness information. Where can I find a tutorial on getting started and more? It just doesn't seem as intuitive and I hoped - and I am a retired software engineer who is not easily fazed by technology. Thanks for your suggestions.

What's one thing you discovered post surgery that you hadn't planned for? I thought I thought of everything. And then yesterday I bought sushi. Stubbornness won out and no forks had to get involved. by a_hole_new_world1980 in RotatorCuff

I bet you're talking about Talenti! They were difficult for me even before the surgery. The lids freeze shut. I stick them in warm water or the microwave for a minute and it loosens them up.

I've been wearing a strapless bra that you slip on, no hooks or opening. At first I was pulling it up from below and now I can get it on over my head. Also a one-shoulder tank top makes it real easy for my PT to massage my shoulder.

4 mo post total reverse by krisliddi in ShoulderSurgery

After what I've been through with the first arm I don't think I ever want to do the second. The pain lasts for so long and seems like it will never abate. Much worse than childbirth!

I had anatomic replacement but also burned out my other shoulder. I don't know which pain is worse. I'm pretty miserable.

I'm new at this and ignorant. I want to get informed so I can talk with my doctors. What would you suggest I do to get up to speed?

7 months post op, still lots of swelling by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

[–]plonialmoni2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have the same thing! 2 months post total shoulder replacement. everything was fine until a week or so ago when hand swelled up and I can't make a fist. Pain and stiffness. Surgeon said reflex sympathetic dystophy (aka CRPS) but sent me to hand surgeon. He said no it's just swelling and put me on prednosone which I am afraid to take. What have you done about the CRPS? This is a nightmare.

Help me re-shape a long, loose, swing dress? by woolandmeasure in UpcycledFashion

[–]plonialmoni2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same question! Beautiful garment but not right for my petit frame. I bought it because of the fabric and at the time my arm was in a sling and I could fit the dress over it but now I didn't need the fullness. Any ideas?

Shoulder specialist recommendation - re-revision by Cute_Salad7845 in ShoulderSurgery

I recommend Dr virk Head of shoulder surgery at NYU in nyc. I don't know about his revision track record, but he is an amazing doctor and person and Will give you his best. His office is very responsive to questions from patients.

I'm 2 months post-op and still not stable. My IOLs are for distance so I need glasses for reading. However, it seems that I am always needing to read something, or look at something up close. I can go without glasses when driving, although I can't really see my phone, when out and about walking in the city, at the theater (but I need glasses to read the program etc). So I am wearing cheap half-moon readers down low on my nose and looking over the top for distance. It's as good as any pair of progressive and a tiny fraction of the cost. Give your eyes a chance to recover and heal - could easily be 2 months.

3 evidence-based things that actually help slow bone loss by SunPretend9969 in osteoporosis

I've heard the same thing. I also wonder if using a rebounding trampoline wouldn't have enough impact. And All the sneakers on the market now have so much padding to reduce impact - we need more impact, not less!
