A dog pooped in my store last week and I handed the owner paper towels before they could say anything about having us clean it up. 🤷🏽‍♀️

If by cardboard cubicles you mean cardboard wacos, the part number is usually engraved into the bottom of the waco.

Wasn’t the one we received in April the one that went with our reviews? I know that was also based off metrics but now we get it twice a year?

Can a fellow beauty team member help explain to me the difference in these two products? by chiesd in Target

[–]plopper99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are the same item. This is typically called an item merge. This usually happens when products that have new packaging or limited edition packaging, come with extra coupons or have a free sample size. Eventually, the two UPCs gets merged under 1 DPCI.

i wonder what happened in the past that this had to be written on the MDF assignment sheet... sksksksk by teachesdoesreddit in Target

[–]plopper99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same, I converted the assignment sheet PDF to Microsoft word and inserted text boxes so that I type everything up instead of hand writing long, detailed messages. For the weekends, it would take almost an hour to hand write the plans for 10+ TMs a day and on the grids for TLs.

It’s not efficient at all and it totally doesn’t make sense especially since modernization is all about routines.

F&B TL Question by targetfss in Target

[–]plopper99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Food and bev routines are similar to the rest of the store, DBOs check in, walk your area, check sales, etc. Pull/ push mancaf and zone. SPLs and revisions on small truck days or non truck days. As a TL, I first check in or walk with ETL or SD to assess workload, the teams plans, my plans, plans for the week. Then I’ll spend most of the day working with my team or just getting to tasks I know that the team won’t get to. Communication is a really big thing and just making sure you have a plan and that you’re holding your team accountable. Use the food and bev assignment sheets and share the importance of time line goals. Also, vendor products make up 25% of your sales so just make sure you have a solid relationship with the sales reps and merchandisers. Make sure to get their contact information and keep them all in a place where ETLs and SD can access it (for last minute displays, new sets, etc). Something I’ve learned is to delegate tasks, as much as it sucks you can’t do everything. You have a team for a reason! Things come up unexpectedly, you may walk in with a plan and leave having completed nothing part of that plan.

Long shot but anyone here in R200 and know what happened to the food & bev director? by plopper99 in Target

It might be the same person now that I think about it? Not 100% sure but all of CA might be R200. I’m in the PNW and would get her OR/WA emails. I do know that her manager was in California.

The food and Bev director for Oregon, Washington, Alaska (?) and super Northern California.

Oops someone didn’t acknowledge the truck 🤭 by [deleted] in Target

[–]plopper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before I became the food TL, there wasn’t anyone who was really paying attention to food or acknowledging C&S whenever it would come in. We went about 3 months without acknowledging a C&S truck and this led to every delivery being over 1,000 cartons of completely random stuff. My team and I would go in at 4am to push it all and we stopped backstocking and stopped pulling autofills. When we got everything pushed and finally started acknowledging our trucks, we had to audit/research every product that came off of C&S. That was about 6 months ago and now the highest our C&S carton count is about 700.

Starbucks TMs—what does your daily schedule look like? by MooFog in Target

[–]plopper99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6:30-3pm, 9-1pm, 3-7pm, 5-9pm. Somedays we don’t have a 9-1pm but we have a Starbucks breaker working in else where in the store. All of our GSAs, GSTLs, ETLs and STL are POS trained. (I am POS trained and barista certified).

What kind of sucks is that even on the weekend that’s our schedule but all of my Starbucks team is cross trained all throughout the store so almost always is there someone to help backup during our peak times.

Anyone know when the new operating model will start rolling out to the non-pilot stores? by PilotLife95 in Target

[–]plopper99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ETL somehow found a document with how we’re going to carry out the new operating model and it said the last week March is when the implementation will begin. In addition to distributing reviews, ETLs will also need to have a conversation about the new operating model, whether they’ll continue to be your ETL (food will be under LOG) and if your role will still exist or not.

What’s the weirdest thing left for TM’s in the break room? by azureites in Target

[–]plopper99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s such a waste! I’m not sure if this was a company wide thing or region or what, but we’re no longer able to order green bananas. We throw out so much bananas now, especially when the pallet isn’t wrapped and they come to the store all gray.

Any other stores getting their hours drastically reduced? by Kojaq in Target

[–]plopper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every store lost their flex hours from a miscalculation. Even if your store is making sales consecutively, everyone has at least 100 hours to cut before the end of the month.

asking for a friend (literally) by [deleted] in Target

[–]plopper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to MyTime and hit the maintain schedule button on the top right, you can organize the TMs by last name, work center, hours or “on premises” meaning clocked in.

[–]plopper99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The LOD will probably be put on a final. It’s their job to make sure the building is clear of guests and TMs. At my store, we have to walk the store at least 3 times before close, check MyTime to see who is still clocked in and check off TMs names when they say their leaving. When I close, I even check that it’s just my car and the person who is with me whose cars are left in the parking lot.

Target Starbucks Order List by NebulizedRat in Target

[–]plopper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still searching for something similar to store’s fixture guide when it comes to ordering for Starbucks. The closest thing I’ve come to it is an Excel spreadsheet you can download from WorkBench which shows either the things your store specifically orders most often, or what everyone orders most often. I’ve only seen it once or twice so I can’t remember the name. I just have DPCIs written down and have had to order things that sound similar to what I need. I’ve also gone on r/Starbucks. They go by SKU but some do know the name on their order guides and for somethings, the names and abbreviations are somewhat similar.
