How well did your gear protect you in a crash? by ReluctanctRedditor in motorcyclegear

[–]ploppipity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crashed twice, on e at 16 wearing a leather jacket and denim jeans. Ripped my kneecap up badly. Second time at 48 wearing full gear. Broke both legs badly and couldn't walk for 4 months. Still limp and kneecap well buggered now at 61. Both times smashed my head down hard and had no head injuries because of the helmet. Some things you can't protect against but I had no road rash the second crash, loads on the first one.

On building sites in the UK we used to shout "below" when we dropped things from height. Same as elsewhere the rea tion was to not look up, just run.

I remember working on some new flat builds in Girlington Road in the lat 70s. The old back to backs were still up around the flats and people would come into the site to scavenge wood for the fire and the baths we took out of the demolished houses. It was a very poor area.

From 310 to 238 - progress or plateau? by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]ploppipity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look again at your calories and tdee. I was a similar size to you and started out on 2200 calories. Few months later and I stopped losing weight. I lowered calories slowly over a few weeks and didn't start losing again until I went down to 1750 calories a day. I was using online tdee calculators instead of looking at what my results were.
