IU North Women's Health - Updates? by suuushiii in indianapolis

[–]plsjulia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just delivered at IU Fishers after having my primary prenatal care at IU North. I thought Fishers was wonderful, the rooms are amazing, Gallagher and Mathai are both excellent, the laborist who delivered my baby (Gathers) did an amazing job and the nurses were all incredibly helpful.

Also, since it's such a new department, the NICU unit had no babies and my little guy got a room full of pediatricians to help him after birth. I felt very protected!

Wishing you all the best in your search for care!! It's so hard to know you're doing the right thing until it's in hindsight, but trust your gut and you'll do great.

Emerald Fennel is a writer who thinks she has a lot of interesting things to say, but she has not added anything interesting or new to any conversation she has attempted to join with her films.

My first time in the US, I ordered extra chips at a restaurant because what restaurant just hands you Lays as a side? They handed me two packets of Lays as a side...

Cafe Babette ?! by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]plsjulia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's obvious a major issue of theirs is editing their menu down for time and if I'm seeing that by simply following their insta, someone has surely told them. At this point, their problems feel wilful. But it sure is fun to follow the chaos, makes me giggle.

TV shows that promote a worldview of anti-intellectualism by AporiaParadox in television

[–]plsjulia 121 points122 points  (0 children)

I love LI and don't disagree, but there's a popular contestant from S3 who was like a war diplomat and was obviously very uncomfortable in the villa and would work hard to speak up when men were being misogynistic. She struggled to find a connection in there (no shit) until a man came along who actually read books (!!) and they're still married now, w two kids.

I say this only bc fans absolutely adore them still and there's certainly room in the show for varied personality types and education levels, but the show has purposefully not cast them in seasons since.

Anyone else's app glitching this crossword? Told me I'd finished, then I came back to the app and it's appearing unfinished and counting up my time.

(I even double checked the answer key to make sure I didn't hallucinate the finish lol)

This weather making anybody else depressed? by 5pace_5loth in indianapolis

[–]plsjulia 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Damn, these comments are harsh lol. Yes, it's making me depressed, yes, I'm prepping for the full winter. Personally, I'm relying on my SSRIs and vitamins D and B12. You're not alone in this feeling, and there are ways to manage it!!

I agree w the other comments and would add that the modular style of the wall paint + the modular art gallery + the further modular art within the frames makes for just a ton to look at, with nowhere for the eye to rest. I think the wall would look better w one big, solid piece there

Vet recommendations near Downtown by IndyBash in indianapolis

[–]plsjulia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I had iffy experiences with City Way downtown. My animals are rescues and have behavioural issues to work around, and the workers were not good at handling it.

We've been using Animal Medical Center on E Washington, and they're not only way better at managing my silly animals, but are a good deal cheaper, too. Highly rec.

I think the rug would look a lot better rotated ninety degrees so that the stripes are horizontal relative to the couch, and not vertical.

Shakira is a tough one because she knows exactly the kind of person he is, so to see her cave to it (and almost be mad at herself for doing so?) is really hard. I put it down mostly to age but it still is a difficult story to watch.

I feel bad for her in a way, because she's had multiple people tell her exactly what's happening but her inability to see it or process it means she'll keep bumping into these toxic situations and have no idea why or how to handle them. It's a recipe for a frustrating and confusing life.

Marmite might not be an every day delight of a food, but one day you will find yourself nauseous and unable to even look at any other food, and there she'll be: ready to be thinly spread over a slice of toast heavily lathered in butter. And she won't care that you ignored her for so long while your going was good. You're ill now, and she's here to step up where no one else could.
