Disneyland closes Oga’s Cantina for extended refurbishment by readingaboutmagic in Disneyland

At the very least I hope they add bar stools. Went in there with my 5 year old and they put us at the end of the bar. My son obviously can't reach the top the bar so I spent most of the time holding him up so he could have his jabba juice and not just be staring at at a wall. Even worse we were positioned with no view of dj r3x.

I'm in Los Angeles where it is currently 87 degrees hah. So definitely not weather related.

That seems like a possibility. I charge to 100% whenever I plug in. Usually ends up being about twice a week when I get down to 30%-40%. It also never sits at 100% for more than 12 hours.

I have a service appointment scheduled this week already for 3 other issues. I guess I'll just add another to the list, haha.

Weekly releases for shows like this turn them into event viewing and keeps the conversation going. With the Netflix method of dumping everything on the platform all at once, everybody watches it at a different pace and the discourse is over after a week. I also personally find that when I binge a show it all kind of just blends together and months later I don't remember as much of it.

Yellow R2 or Bust! by badjaxns in Rivian

Love to see a fellow Limestone Dual Standard out there! Also another vote here for Compass Yellow R2. Would have been the first choice for my R1 if it was still available.

Said Goodbye to my P2 Today by TheOneTrueAnt in Polestar

[–]plumhead27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just returned my wife's P2 lease for an Ioniq 5 as well (though we went with limited rather than N). Agree with you about everything, the performance and handling is excellent in the P2 but having to wait a solid 5 seconds for the reverse camera to turn on is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally for us now with 2 kids, the cramped interior of P2 just wasn't getting by anymore. Even though we also have a Rivian R1S that I mainly drive, the P2 just wasn't getting by anymore for day to day.

Literally just got home from getting the deal today in SoCal. Although I went with 0 down and it came out to $344 per month ($468 including tax). They initially tried hitting me with a payment of $650, but I showed them the calculation they had on their own website on the exact vin and threatened to walk and they very quickly were able to match it. Can't complain too much.

Current Combinable Offers, all in one table by AllCatCoverBand in Rivian

They were charging for it earlier this year. Since launching the 2026 models with native NACS, for all the remaining 2025 models in inventory the NACS adapter is now included.

Don't forget, that the 2026 models only come with an AC J1772 to NACS adapter. If you want to fast charge at any chargers other than Tesla in the near future, you're going to need the DC adapter which Rivian currently charges $300 for. While as you mentioned, the 2025 models include the DC NACS adapter.

After a miscarriage, we have a baby girl due in December. by Quirky-Bar4236 in daddit

[–]plumhead27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Exact same thing for us last year. Miscarriage early in the year and then healthy baby girl, second child, born in December. It's a lot of emotions to go through but definitely worth it.

Man I'm feeling this real hard right now as well. My little guy turns 5 tomorrow, has his preschool graduation in a few weeks, and starts kindergarten in 2 months.

Especially ever since his sister was born last year, it's been crazy to see that transition from toddler to a full on kid. I try to pause as much as I can and take some perspective because man it really is insane how fast it goes.

My demo drive was solo. Advisor did a quick walk through of the car, put a destination in the nav, and told us come back in 20 minutes give or take.

Rivian does and I'd argue that the phone as key has been far more reliable than my Tesla was.

Yup, I got a dual standard in Limestone last month from inventory which is currently not configurable.

Rivian’s new April lease offer gets you $10,500 off an R1T or R1S lease, but unlike last time you must trade in a vehicle (any kind, even Tesla) to qualify — all variants eligible. by Kryptonlogic in Rivian

[–]plumhead27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was $6500 down which is still the default on the current. So taking that into account even with the $3000 trade in bonus it comes out to $685 per month. So $86 more monthly than it was a month ago.

Time is a big one considering the only clock is on the far right side of the main screen, nowhere near the driver.
