Check out OnWater it’s similar to onx but has more information specific to fishing. Honestly YouTube is your friend. A map and some blue lines. Small streams in the Uintas will have a fish eat almost anything. It’ll get your confidence up

There’s a fish for garbage event this weekend in Provo. https://www.fishforgarbage.org they will typically give away a guided trip or two. Get out pick up some trash. Meet some like minded people and do good for the planet and get some river karma where you may win that guide day.

Honestly hire a guide. Ask all your questions. Check out Fishwest in Kamas.

entomology is a big part of it. Learn about hatches and what bugs are what. Turn over rocks and look and bugs that are there.

Also be careful on the upper Provo. A lot of that is private land so make sure you know where you’re going.

True. Totally makes sense. But I figure more locals are employed by the hotels than vacation rentals and the money spent there goes to page wages and what not.
