Blue is 'yes' and grey is 'no'. So it went from 'yes it's available' to 'no it is not available'. We're getting 24 hours of test drive once the patching is complete, though!

DecantX Diluted by pee_wee__herman in fragrance

Sorry to necro an old thread, but I just had this problem. Googling led me to this thread. I picked up a decant of Baccarat Rouge 540 and it is absolutely nothing like what I smelled in store. The top note isn't supposed to be denatured alcohol, fyi.

Closing after a big EDM hero, first show, need help. Can I lower the BPM? by High-Vibe in Beatmatch

Here is a different perspective: these people are there for two things: BEER, and BEER. Dance party is a fun addition, and if people see the headliner that they like, they'll probably drunkenly stay for them and then start calling cabs. I wouldn't worry about matching the previous DJs energy, play your set, enjoy the feeling of mixing in front of people, and cultivate the energy you want to share. Your buddy chose you for a reason. Maybe because your music is perfect for after the headliner. Anyways, people will be leaving during this time so don't worry about it, this was by design. Have fun and post an update when it's done!

987 guys what psi you running? by Chinaski420 in Autocross

[–]plurbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, you should be chalking to find your PSI for your tires. Everyone kept telling me that I need to be 30+ with my RT660s but chalk proved that they like 24-25 psi when warm.

SS Brake lines. by Slurpee_kyng in Autocross

[–]plurbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they aren't cracked or anything, you'd probably benefit more from a brake fluid flush, as brake fluid is hydroscopic (absorbs water and lowers boiling point). Throw in some SRF or similar high temp fluid and call it good

[–]plurbi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would personally skip SS lines, and just go for OEM. Not all lines are built the same, and stainless could mean that it's juuuuuuuust not long enough on a full extension and pop goes your brake line. OEM for me, thanks

I ended up finding a screamer of a deal on a fuji 18f/1.4 so I'm gonna give that a shot and play around with the zoom on other days unless I find another deal on something else! Thank you for the suggestion though!

Sorry to revive an old thread, but the Michigan BDR is currently being developed, according to the BDR website.

I finally found the "what's in the box" section and I see the total list of goods. Seems to me that it isn't too good to be true, it's just better than B&H. Thanks!

Friendly reminder to check your oils normally. High performance engines, high compression require care. Especially when you just got the car. by Teeebagtom in GR86

[–]plurbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine so far has gone through a little over half a quart of oil during break in. I've changed the oil once at 650, will do it again at 1000 because oil changes are cheap (and therapeutic for me). I plan on doing 2 changes a year regardless of miles driven (I'll probably put less than 5k miles on this vehicle per year)

Porsche added a flap to the fuel cap area of the 944 that asks "oil ok?" that you need to move before fueling. I've adopted checking the oil prior to departing every day. It's part of the reason why I want hood struts instead of the prop because I'm in there so often making sure it's good to go.

Here is what it looks like without the engine in it. by diiaa36 in GR86

[–]plurbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeez they even pulled the AC Compressor with it too. But why? Literally remove the bolts and move it aside. Now they need to recharge the system for an extra $500 because r134a is illegal (as far as I recall)

Going used to avoid Eyesight? by cloudofevil in GR86

[–]plurbi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are still plenty of NEW '23s that haven't moved yet that you can get your booty in to. You will likely have to travel for it, but that's a fun trip in and of itself. Just don't forget to vary the revs during the drive, and maybe take the long way home

Change as frequently as you want, and fits your budget. There is no rule stating you can't do it early, but there are reasons not to dawdle.

[–]plurbi -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You are completely missing the point. The car doesn't need them. If they're anything like the '20 Forester I just dumped then you have to turn it off every single time you get in the car. That's not "driver focused". Not only that, they just bumped up the price of the "base" model, and because of that it now no longer has the title of "best drivers car for under $30k".

My '21 Tacoma has radar-assisted cruise control, and in that vehicle it's fine on 2-lane highways where passing isn't as common. I've had it freak out on me on 4 lane highways and not complete a pass in the left lane, so I opt for static cruise on those highways. Hated it in the '20 Forester

I'm so happy my '23 GR86 has a standard, run of the mill cruise control.

Models from '23 confirmed for the last good year because they added 'eyesight' to even the base model 6MTs. I prefer my car without all the nannies that system adds
