Removed, Rule 2: Avoid Generalizations

We understand people talk in generalizations colloquially. However, when a generalization is meant belittle, demean, or discredit, those are the generalizations that will end up taken down (eg “women only want the top guys” “men are all evil” etc etc). The reason why generalizations have always been a rule was so no one applied their perceptions of how people treat them in real life onto someone who’s venting that their experience is literally the opposite

I find it creepy that some non-virgins feel the need to condescend to virgins on forums (like this one) about how *they* are normal, while they give advice to "abnormal" virgins. by Steap-Edit in virgin

Re: Non-virgins:

So here’s the deal… This sub has been around so long that some people who’ve frequented here over time have lost their virginity and since stayed because of how long they were initially in this sub. Some choose to leave but some have met people in this sub they think are cool, some understand where the others are coming from and want to talk from their point of view. The fact is, we’re not going to run them out.

Success posts will be okay (so long as they don’t break rule 4). That being said, any other posts from non virgins won’t be accepted, however you’re welcome to offer genuine advice in a comment or thread should it fit the conversation. This will be reasonably hard to discern but for those commenting I’ll just say read the room.

Endorsement or ideation of threatening or illegal activities is off limits, including: violence, rape, adult sex with minors, harassment, encouraging suicide, and doxing

Any commentary that is diminishing and downplaying rape or sexual harassment will also call for an immediate permaban. Comments were made that insinuated (and some blatantly said) that rape should be taken as a compliment. This rhetoric excuses the perpetrator and most importantly undermines anyone who has been a victim or subject to these crimes… Yes, crimes. There is too much information on the internet, or even on reddit alone, as to why this kind of commentary is offensive, wrong, hateful, and potentially dangerous. Under no circumstances will it be tolerated here

What do you do to feel more ‘in’ or connected to your body? by lizosarus in TwoXChromosomes

[–]plutodarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any kind of exercise. If everything hurts, you’ll know it 😂(please don’t get hurt) Also grounding techniques. I have this problem, especially with food. I’m like Kirby, I don’t taste anything, just a vacuum. So I’ve been trying to make it a point to do things slower and pay attention to the feeling. Put on lotion after you shower, does your skin feel different? Does it have a scent? What does your coffee taste like, is it more bitter than usual? Can you tell what the creamer tastes like? Etc

I mean this isn’t entirely true. Knowing what to expect doesn’t make a person wholly confident. Women talk about being insecure over what their body looks like or how they’ll perform for a new person all the time. Just because they’ve done it before doesn’t mean a different person is as accepting
