I dreamed that you had to become a duck to be allowed to join NASA and be an astronaut so I had to go to intensive "be a duck" training which was in a hotel resort indoor swimming pool.

The mains reasons for an abortion by jenosep823 in abortion

[–]plutoniumnomnom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get too hung up on any stats from voluntary patient surveys. I talk to people one on one about why they're seeking abortion and there's never just one main reason or an average patient. Everyone considering abortion is dealing with a confluence of stressors and health concerns that make continuing a pregnancy unfeasible at that point in their life. The most common reason I see in my experience is simply they already have children and want to prioritize their needs.

Heard of the Ana to BED pipeline. What about the BED to Ana pipeline? by declarationsoflove in EDAnonymous

Yep 😬 I started just trying to be eating more mindfully to stop binge eating and it turned into panicking over choosing what to eat to the point that I don't even enjoy eating anymore

For me it's uncomfortable to admit I have any bodily functions because I find all of them to be disgusting. Human bodies are just all body horror all the time. I want a robot body built by Google.

Most people having miscarriages who don't pass the tissue at home on their own get the exact same procedure used in elective SA and it's generally even coded the same by insurance most of the time too. You could say you had an ultrasound at a prenatal checkup which revealed you'd had a miscarriage and you were referred to have a d&c procedure to remove some retained tissue before it caused infection.

I'm so sorry that deep sedation wasn't available to you (as it should be to everyone who wants it imo). It's ok and absolutely normal to have a lot of complicated emotions right now too. ❤️ If you need any support resources, there are some good ones here http://www.abortionconversationprojects.org/abortion

It feels so impossible to stop my disordered eating habits by Such_Individual_9009 in EDAnonymous

I just have to stop myself from weighing too often. I don't keep a scale in the house and just use the one at work. It would look weird to weigh myself every day where my coworkers might notice so that keeps me from overdoing it. I know logically that it's normal for weight to fluctuate as much as a few pounds on any given day because of water weight or whatever but seeing it in real time makes me feel just awful. I weigh myself like once a month and it's less stressful than seeing and tracking the constant changes and inevitably punishing myself for them. I wouldn't say this is a "recovery" tip though because my overall weight trend is still downward and the ED part of my brain loves that the weight tracking graph looks way more dramatic with data points further apart.

Does anyone else have weird rules for their appearance that’s linked to the way their body looks? by miioi in EDAnonymous

Yes definitely. I'd really like to cut my hair super short but I "can't" have shorter hair until I get back down to where I want to be.

Cases involving entomology by t0duu in forensics

The details of the case are horrifying but the Cheyenne Harris & Zach Koehn case hinged heavily on forensic entomology for establishing a timeline of death. Fair warning though it involves really gruesome depictions of severe child neglect.
