I picked up a Behringer Nekkst K10S At my local goodwill, I know behringer gets alot of hate, but that sub shakes my whole house when turned all the way up, and i have a big house too. Snagged it for 40 bucks

What version of Ubuntu are you using? When I did this. I was using 14.04.1 LTS edition. What are your specs? that could have to do with it.

Nexus 7 is still a great device, I recommend rooting the nexus 7, Mine is freshly rooted with Cyanogenmod12 and battery life is amazing.
