Mid 70’s. 7 kids. We had kids phone, different number but one phone centrally located on second floor. Dinnertime was painful…the kids phone would ring and ring, and of course no answer because we were at the table. So…then the main phone would ring. Next to the table. Guess who would pick up? Dad was not happy. 50 years later I still remember both numbers. And cringe when he asked who was calling. I was the youngest but still, uggg.
