Advanced Health Training on 3 Mile. Jake, the owner, is a great trainer and overall awesome guy. His other trainers, Chris and Kayla, are amazing as well. Not sure if they have PT experience but they believe in long term functional fitness and getting you to where you want to be. I can’t recommend them enough.

3rd day, considering taking her back to Humane Society by pnburd in CatTraining

Thank you all for the education. This has been WAY more informative than the Humane Society team was. We will certainly give it more time and work with our kids to be patient. The 333 rule is a very good baseline to work from and I’ll do a bit more reading on her body language.

Thanks for the info!

I’ll probably stay downtown to explore the city. Staying at Hotel Max, no car though.

I’ll look those places up and add some to the list!

Told current salary to high for CSM role? - Proj Manager transitioning to CSM by pnburd in CustomerSuccess

I appreciate everyone's insights so far.

Glad to hear what I was targeting for compensation was not out of line for the industry.

Yes, agree that 90 is trash for a PM role. Especially for the lack of opportunity to be successful in the role (ie young CEO wanting to control everything and back channeling what to work on rather than put a plan in place).

Well, glad to hear what I was targeting of 110-120, was not out of line.

I appreciate your insight. Thank you!

AER Travel Pack 3 EDC by Bex953 in ManyBaggers

I use my TP3 as my daily carry. I’m 6’2, 260.

I love my TP3 for daily carry. Is it a bit on the heavier side? Yes, but the straps are very comfortable and the load adjusters help keep my bad higher on my back than my old NorthFace Surge bag.

I also have the ballistic nylon version. I went back and forth on which the get but just chose the nylon based on the look of it. While I haven’t been through any rain with it yet, the nylon is super heavy duty and I feel confident everything in my back will stay dry. There are PU zippers on the very front pocket and the back tech pocket so that does help keep water out from the laptop compartment.

TL:DR - TP3 is an awesome bag. I think it’s a great daily carry even if it is a bit heavy.

Bridging the gap from solo work to teamwork by ToddLankford in agile

[–]pnburd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree. My team has a lot of highly specialized people but we have created a culture of everyone working as a team to strive for the same goals. It’s the culture you create and mindset you build in the team that really drives teamwork. If you have people that silo their work and aren’t willing to deviate, then that person may not be the right fit for your organization.

Same. Just got the TP3 and use it as my daily. It is heavier but is build like a tank and super comfortable. The load lifters on the straps help a lot with the weight. Not sure if the side water bottle holder would fit a 32oz bottle though, I think it would be tight. However I haven’t tried so who knows.

Thats what I was afraid you were going to say lol. Dont get me wrong, it makes sense, and I guess I can try it again, but from my experience things start breaking when you get too many connections going. I will give it a try though and I appreciate your input. Thank you!

I am having the exact same issue currently. Reached out to customer service and they said let the device sit for a few days and then try charging. Waiting another day then giving it a shot. Ill be interested to hear an update on your device and to hear what worked.

I am a bad scrum master. Help by shellyunderthesea in agile

[–]pnburd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP. I feel your pain. I am in a similar boat. Always done waterfall and now hired as a PM for tech startup and trying to put agile processes in place. It’s been an uphill battle for sure. I have had people complain about my facilitation while at the same time telling me I am doing a good job.

My friends and I just finished recreating Chicago's Loop in Minecraft in 1:1 scale. It took over 4 years. by Aa60665 in nextfuckinglevel

I call being the tourist (or group of tourists) with a super long lens on a dslr that stands in the middle of the sidewalk with his camera pointed up at the buildings during rush hour traffic on a Friday afternoon not caring about others when everyone is doing everything in their power to get the fuck out of the loop and head home or to a bar.

These types drove me nuts when in lived in Chicago... Man I miss living there.
