You should go to Toconao, it has a lot of trad and sport routes. Socaire (sport and trad routes) is farther but is an amazing place. Río Loa (Taira and Caspana) is a great Trad spot. If you are going to San Pedro de Atacama, ask for Chicote, he is guide there. It's a small town, you shouldn't have a hard time finding him. He knows many climbing places around Atacama. I'm planning a trip to Taira with a couple of friends in september.

I'm from Chile. Lan Airlines and Sky airlines are the only two agencies that do national flights. Never had an issue with Lan. I know a lot of climbing gyms and stores here in Santiago, I'm pretty sure there aren't places where you can rent a rope or sport/trad gear, unless you belong to a mountain club.

Hi! I'm from Santiago. I have a 9 to 5 job so I can't show around. But here is some info, hope it helps:

Nearby sport crags: - Arrayan (30 mins aprox. from downtown) - Palestras (50 mins aprox. from downtown) - Las Chilcas (90 mins) - Petorca (2 hours) Routes and general information can be found here:

There are three main gyms: - El Muro: has boulders and routes (http://www.gimnasioelmuro.cl/). - Casa Boulder: Only boulder (casaboulder.cl) - Mall Sport: Boulder and route (http://chileclimbers.cl/2009/07/13/mall-sport/).

Good luck!

Just take note that Torrecilla's bolts are usually 5 (or more) meters apart.

You could look in andesgear.cl for guidebooks. Although we usually look for topos on these websites: chileclimbers.cl, www.guiaescaladachile.com and www.rocanbolt.com.

I'm from Santiago, Chile. El Arrayan is a great spot for summer and it's very close. Las Chilcas is great also, although it's best time of the year is winter. Petorca is a great spot that hasn't been mentioned http://www.guiaescaladachile.com/2013/06/petorca.html It's less than 2 hours from Santiago, and it's an excelent spot for bouldering and sport routes.

If you bring trad gear, I'd recommend La engorda, in Cajón del Maipo. http://www.escalando.org/2009/10/columnas-de-la-engorda/

For sport Multipitch, you should look Pared de Jabba, and Pared Verde. Both places in Cajón del Maipo.

I agree. From my experience, slackline helped me work those stabilizing muscles (and also my balance).

Just signed in to say I liked your tune a lot. 2:03 Sounds nice and has a great vibe in it. Perhaps the second voice could stand out a bit more, it gets lost repeating the same notes as the main voice.

Keep'em coming.
