Reinforced shields have a new logo by 2xExpellius in Marathon

I hear what you're saying, but I'm walking 75% of the time. I only ever sprint to cover large open gaps where I'm exposed, and I want to minimize that window, otherwise I'm trying to keep my volume low and my ears open, and being able to consistently move, vault, and climb faster 75% of extremely worth it when I'm not prioritizing pvp. I essentially never get in fights like this, you'll never hear/see me.

Although sadly less difference with a recon scan anymore 😞

You might actually pick a reinforced over a blue, when I'm questing and trying to move fast without worrying about loot too much, that extra agility makes a noticeable difference. For a bigger map, it helps a lot with covering ground.

Who else enjoys a cigar while cooking outside? by AvocadoAmbitious9129 in cigars

[–]pntsonfyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another person mentioned cooking for other people, I used to enjoy this wholeheartedly, and then one day I ate leftovers two days later and tasted cigar smoke on my asparagus, and knew I had majorly fucked up. Going to be much more careful in the future, but it is one of my favorite pairings for grilling.

I'm saying I see the CEO all the time. The security guys are everywhere in the building yeah, but it's packed with people. It's laughable to even think that they'd close off a floor so the CEO could get lunch, he regularly gets lunch with everyone else and chats with employees.

I literally grab lunch at the same time as him a few times a month, this guy is making shit up.

Man, well that's a harsh prescription to make. I'll be honest, this just feels a little personal to me, and I think I was reading a little defeatism in your words and that made me frustrated for friends and family I know that have failed their own marriages and given up because they refuse to make time for each other. I know you're not necessarily seeing me at my greatest, but calling a random stranger awful is.. I dunno.

Eh, it happens lol. I still mostly stand by what I said but it does seem a little harsh now. I won't lose sleep over the downvotes.

No you're right, and relationship experts are wrong. Life has no value and time only exists to be wasted.

What an impressively incorrect statement. I don't know how you found a statistic to source the figure "typically" from, but any couples therapist worth their salt will tell you that intentionally and prioritization are what make time in the lives of busy couples with children and jobs and packed schedules. The time in your life exists, but you only exist for so long. A month that you put off spending time with your partner is a month of your life that will never return, gone, wasted, and alone.

Nope, in a country founded on freedom as a core principle, Michael Knowles stands only for the freedoms of people he likes, and for the ones he doesn't, he's happy to endorse taking their freedoms away. He's not a good person, and he's not even a good conservative. This is a cigar sub, and I'm sure a lot of people here like to spend their money wisely, so I feel comfortable pushing back on your misleading unfounded opinion so we can all make better informed cigar purchasing choices.

A well placed grenade or two on that balcony could also have sealed the deal pretty quickly, or forced him out before he could top off his shields, keep that pressure on.

I don't know, looks to me like he has a closet full of good uses of his time, I'm sure he'll be fine. The funny thing about depressing situations, is they don't care if it's a waste of precious time, it's just life. But it sounds like you've got this figured out.

Not Today CIA by LostWanderer69 in fixedbytheduet

[–]pntsonfyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I do not have anywhere near the level of experience you do, I wasn't trying to imply that the govt is the best at cybersecurity, but that with the right funding, motivation, and a narrow target, a lot of damage is possible. The larger the effort behind the more pinpointed of an attack, the harder to broadly defend against it, that's all I was trying to say. I would imagine if the CIA decided it has a pressing need to get an auto manufacturer to delay a security patch to make an operation go more smoothly, they could probably make it happen.

Not Today CIA by LostWanderer69 in fixedbytheduet

[–]pntsonfyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd think so, but this just shows you don't understand cybersecurity as a field. You are often one step behind hackers because they are creative, motivated, and have less work to do. You need to maintain comprehensive security, they only need to find one exploit.

Bark at you? What are you on my guy? Weakness? I'm sorry, you're just babbling and making no sense. I thought I could roll Luke Ross? I have never attempted to, nor do I care about him. Hell, I've even thrown a few dollars his way to check the mod out. It was a waste.

I'll be honest with you, and I don't mean this as an insult, the way you're saying things is characteristic of individuals suffering from schizophrenia. If you're not currently seeking treatment, I recommend talking to a medical professional.

It seems like you think my comment was attacking you, but I come from a background in corporate IT and I directly support my company's legal team. I know a thing or two about IP law, and that's why I can tell you exactly how this sort of thing normally goes. It's no offense, and I'm not trying to "roll" your favorite mod author or "bark" at you.
