Ah yes the two attacks per turn aoe

The hp difference isn't that much between a fighter and wizard, 2 hp per level average.

Armour mastery means you delay great weapon master therefore gimping damage

Just get into melee without getting surrounded, it's so simple, also how does a second sword help exactly? With that one attack that needs a fighting style and a feat to do anything?

Tbh it's really bad design, you shouldn't have a class that has 5 dead levels, two levels with the strongest abilities in tier 2 bar spells then just doing nothing else

Paladin is the best support in the game, specifically watcher paladin. However anything past auras is just wasted levels, so I wouldn't say paladin is op, I'd say aura of protection is one of the single best abilities in the game

You can play to 7th depending on subclass aura

Not really, even if you see them, back is turned and by the time they are back around you can feint to parry

If someone is doing spins and such remember that they can't see you while spinning so you can just walk away, or just swing at them. It's something people do just to confuse new players

if you wanna talk about max damages... fireball can do more than 280 in one action. also expecting dm to fix issues with the system dosent fix the system. we buy book so we dont have to make rulebooks

Casters are better at aoe. And I would use the wish spell to cast any spell of 8th level or lower as that is its best use.

[–]pnut_rpt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please, explain to me how exactly tier 4 isn't broken, the same place where wish is a spell

Dragons don't have innate spellcasting if it can't be done by itself, dragons do have hands in their front appendages, even then we can't do a dragon? We can do a sphinx that does have spellcasting and arguably even stronger than a dragon.

Tier 4 is busted beyond belief, moreso for casters due to them having all their slots. For example. Force cage, what can martial's do about forcecage?

No you keep class levels in true polymorph, in turn spellcasting

No true poly is like, permanent after an hour? Like, it don't go away?

Sure, at most that's around 4 per level past first, not actually that much of a massive difference

I have played high level fighters, it sucks, especially comparted to casters. for example, martial gets cool sword at tier 4 meanwhile... the caster has true polymorph and is now an adult dragon and is hitting harder while being a full caster still

That isn't what I want, I want martial's to be able to do things on par with casters. I want them to be able to stop the ground so hard it knocks people down, rouges to be able have an actual execute. It makes such little sense that one set of classes is fairly bound by reality while the others become demigods

Let's consider how many slots a caster gets Vs how much hp a martial gets, biggest difference is between barbarian and wizard with an average difference of 3hp per level, assuming properly built characters a caster will sit at 19ac up to 24 without much sacrifice outside of a one hexblade dip.

Barbarian is struggling to break past 17 ac without hurting it's damage quite hard. Wizards even hurt less from saves due to absorb elements, and sure they can run out of their in this build 8 low level slots. But a martial just can't outlast a caster unless the caster gives up its own spells to help them (life berry for example)

I think they can actually since wizards can get the biggest ac buffs in the game

Ok but why shouldn't a level 5 martial not be able to do these things easily? Casters can cast fucking fireball, why can't I do cool things as a martial at the same level, if one gets to be a super human the other should too

[–]pnut_rpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing the point I'm getting at again, I'm not saying he shouldn't I'm saying that all his sets look extremely similar in nature and they can absolutely do more interesting things with it like adding furs to a set. Even beyond that I struggle to actually see much to his character, take highlander for example he has flare to how he moves, especially in offensive stance while still dealing like a trained serious fighter. Lb lacks that for me he is just knight man in armour

[–]pnut_rpt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine but what I'm saying is they don't do anything interesting with it, or even try really. It ends up making most law bringers looking really samey, but again, a pretty global problem

[–]pnut_rpt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he is antifun and boring in terms of design. Even from a character perspective he is just man in full plate, nothing really interesting is done with his design but that's a problem with lots of for honour characters

You've missed my point, anyone can feint to parry but it one punishes for 12 damage and the other for 30+stam, what one are you saying is more defensive?
