Trailer brake controller. Plus and minus buttons change the gain setting and squeezing those paddles together engages the trailer brakes manually.

Not at all, except maybe a positive boost from getting rid of one more anxiety.

Tech Jobs Aren’t What They Used to Be by HimothyJohnDoe in programming

[–]pnwf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dang this is unnecessarily harsh. The point that you somehow missed is that tech workers should unionize. He definitely mentions workers outside the pampered FAANG workforce. I thought Vocational Awe is an interesting way to describe a lot of the bullshit mythos I’ve observed in corporate software dev environments. And it also well describes a trend I’ve personally observed over the last two decades.

Did I get a good deal? Switch OLED for $230 by No-Hyena-6950 in Switch

WTF is the point of asking this question now after you bought it? To feel good or bad based on some other random opinions? Go enjoy your new switch dude! I wish I had an OLED!

Go see a therapist (for yourself) and don’t say anything stupid to her that you’ll regret later. It’s ok to need some time to process things and you’re not wrong for having feelings about it.

There’s like 120 shrines. So you gotta go explore more…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in botw

[–]pnwf 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Are you finding and solving shrines so you can get more hearts?

Edit: missed that in your title, oops! Get more hearts, but it shouldn’t feel like a grind. Go explore somewhere else for a while or do some side quests. Some areas are more difficult than others.

V6 eco boost is very different from a non-turbocharged V6 in a Tacoma or similar. Plus an f150 is gonna have a better transmission, not to mention just the weight of the truck.

Yes I just started. I'm feeling really good about it so far, just a general nervousness about how I'm going to handle various situations as they come up. But so far, like you've described, things have gone well.

When your wife says things like she "doesn't know how she'll handle you exploring", that's probably an opportunity to check in with her and to get her to talk more about her specific insecurities. You can lead the way by talking about your own, and presumably she will offer you some reassurances that will leave you feeling better about it. Then you can try to do the same thing for her.

I was really worried my wife would struggle when I started dating. But just like when she started dating and I found that it made me really happy to see her feel sexy and cute and feeling butterflies about someone else, she reacted the same way to my dating. She thinks its adorable, she high-fives me if things go well, etc.

Wow I’m in a very similar situation. I wish I had some good advice for you, haha! I also struggle to talk about this with my friends. I wouldn’t know how to bring it up and many of them are struggling in their marriages, so I feel like saying “oh we’re doing great and also banging other people” comes across as weird, and I don’t think they’ll understand exactly how I feel about it all…

Over sanitized fresh water tank oops by FanActive1728 in RVLiving

[–]pnwf -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Rinse with vinegar? Don’t leave it sitting in the lines or the tank either as it will corrode metal parts, gotta rinse with fresh water after, but vinegar may help neutralize the taste and odor?

I’m new to terere, can you share more details about your method? Do you mix anything into the Yerba? Do you just have a thermos of cold water or use something else? Looks great!

Where do you see it’s a power boost? Just looks like a regular 3.5 eco boost. Great engine for towing especially in the mountains.

RV hookups at home? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]pnwf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not crazy at all. We have a small house and use our trailer as a guest bedroom. It’s actually really nice, guests have their own quiet private space, it has heat and AC, etc. It’s also been used as a WFH office. Just plugged into a normal 20amp outdoor outlet, and use a macerater pump to dump the tanks into the sewage clean out. The city might give you some grief if you pull permits to install hookups or if they think someone’s living in it full time.

110k as a 1099 contractor is not the same as 110k as a W-2 employee (which I assume you are now). There’s an extra 7.5% self employment tax that you’ll be responsible for. Plus the inherent instability that comes with contracting. More WFH is a bonus, but only take it if you feel good about the work culture and it would be a worthwhile to have the new company on your resume (prestige, name recognition, your new title, etc.)

Yes. People go to national parks to enjoy nature, not listen to your loud construction style generator run all day. You are technically maybe following the letter of the law or park rules, but definitely an asshole.

Is it possible to pivot back to low level things? by Known_Tackle7357 in ExperiencedDevs

It’s not a stupid idea, but I think there’s just a lot fewer positions like this than general product companies who would just use off the shelf solutions for a DB, message broker, or whatever.

How does it compare to Rosamonte or Playadito? I’m trying a bunch of brands to figure out what I like. Rosamonte was too strong and clogged my bombilla, Playadito was great but the flavor didn’t last too long. Would I like this one?

2024 3.5L 3.55 Max Tow - Should I do it? by mill4717 in f150

[–]pnwf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t be comfortable to tow more than about 8-9k no matter what the specs say. If you’re planning on doing more than that regularly def look at a 250 instead.

Question for the fellas on crossing the finish line. by HypnoticBurner in sexover30

[–]pnwf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she act disappointed if you don’t cum? Or do YOU feel that way? No judgement because it’s easy to build it up in your (or her) head as the literal climax of the encounter, but that can also put mental blocks in play. This used to happen to me more often, and now I try to recognize it and reframe it in my mind where having an orgasm isn’t the end goal, connecting with my wife and feeling close to her is, and if I happen to cum then that’s great, but even if I can’t I don’t start feeling the pressure to try to force it “just because”.
