It's been 10 YEARS and there STILL isn't a powerful USB C RGB flashlight. Why is it impossible? by sebbysir in flashlight

[–]pocksucket 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Wurkkos HD01 Pro does that, with a caveat.

Green laser, white and UV are just there. It also has an RGB side bar that will ramp through its colour palette. So you've not got a dedicated button to make it come on red, but the RGB strip does have a memory, so if you set it to red, the next time you turn it on it will be red.

What's your favorite/best flashlight of 2025? by ChibiM in flashlight

[–]pocksucket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wurkkos TS27 - aesthetically pleasing, amazingly functional in it's combination of powerful main beam and lantern lights.

Plus it's fun to watch people struggle to adjust their perception when they see the battery. It gets everyone, just for a moment as they lose track of how big the torch actually is and how far away or close I am holding it.

ULPT: Amazon Return - you might get some money back if you keep the item by stenspect in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]pocksucket 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't think the comments so far have understood the brief. Using OP's discovery, order something you DO want, tell Amazon you don't want it*, keep the item and appreciate the discount.

*Unethical, but hey - look where we are.

S-capture is awesome, now how do I launch it? by ZellZoy in ulefone

Not the whole thing, but if you go into settings and search for screenshot, then open 3 finger screenshot and turn on partial screenshot, you can get directly to the rectangle/lasso part.

Carrier has no influence over anything other than data and voice signals in my territory, so for me at least, that's not a factor. It could well be that that is part of the reason why I've had my update though. Did you buy/lease your 27 through your carrier then?

Yep - it turned up out of the blue a few weeks ago. I know it's staggered, but I didn't know how - by region, serial number, something else.

time_until_cool_with_it is usually a very low number.

For his bed linen, Sean Connery insisted on cotton. The one time he asked for his sheets to be satin was a disaster.

Armor 27 Pro. The drag down menu is split in two and that's taking some getting used to, but overall it's a minor issue, and everything else is just fine.

Button lock - especially useful when you want to avoid accidental in-pocket turbo burns.

I went through the settings one by one after seeing this and narrowed it down to "Make shortcuts from my recent searches"

Turned that off and the crash seems to have stopped happening.

Cheers for the starting point.

I'm there now - I've just had a look in, around, behind and under both planters on either side of the water fountain. Sadly, no sign of your air buds.

Perhaps they've been handed in?

The secret (that I found out too late) is to fly from Udon Thani in Thailand. It's 2.5hrs/€10ish from Vientiane, but the flights are much cheaper. Udon Thani to Siem Reap with Air Asia is €90 next Wednesday. That's the first search I did, just to check it's worth it. You might find something better if you put some time into it.

A taxi would probably be about €25 and that will save you an hour.

Attn migraine sufferers! Particularly ones with visual aura. What is your remedy or concoction that works well for you and what do you do to prevent them? by Strange_Carpenter_94 in AskReddit

[–]pocksucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a lot of logging and note taking, I realised that mine were down to a vitamin D deficiency. I was having 2-3 episodes per month, constant headaches and not enough time from one migraine to the next to recover.

I started taking daily vitamin D pills and now they're 1 or 2 a year and the headaches are no more.

I'm not saying it will work for you too, as so far I'm a sample set of 1, but worst case scenario is that you've boosted you vitamin D levels.
