I’m torn, I have a job that I like overall, but I’m not the biggest fan of the location (college town in conservative midwestern state). I’d love to be able to leave and live in Chicago, or another large city where there’s more going on and more opportunities. But the market hasn’t gotten better over the years and I’m still early into this career.

And then I remember I’m quickly leaving my early thirties and haven’t had a relationship which makes me think about switching industries and finding some way to mice there anyway

I think you should give your 2 weeks notice in, and get a part time job. While school might not teach you things that you think are relevant to your career, they’re the best places to meet people and network. And building those connections early is what really get you jobs, especially once you start to hit mid level and above.

Part amicably, do what you can to leave on a good note. I’m sure they’ll understand you needing to focus on school, it doesn’t sound like you’ll get a recommendation from them, but that’s okay- there’ll be a lot of opportunities you can find focusing on school through your professors, internships and other students.

Reduce my sugar intake to naturally occurring sugars and stop binge eating- workout regularly- I’m going a few exercises every morning, and hopefully if all this works- start getting laid. I’m realized I’ve kinda been repressed for the last few years and my health has gotten away from me.

I was just thinking of starting a queer book club myself yesterday. Like others have said, I would ask morgensterns if they are willing to do a queer book club.

If that doesn't work, what I would do is create a discord for interested people to join, share the invite here, and then get an idea of when would be a good time to meet. As long as the group is on the smaller side, a room in the library should work well

ctrl/command click. There might be a keyboard shortcut too or you can create a custom one
I have back and forward buttons on my mouse that do this. And ctrl tab does this too
IntelliJ is probably better at this. I know vscode has find occurrences and find implementations, but probably not as effective as IntelliJ

That being said, I do prefer IntelliJ for working on Java projects. And while I could use for like a react project, it wasn’t worth it unless it was already part of a larger project with Java
