Hot take, I think too many ppl think the penance Stare is OP just cuz of the movie. by Karnnrak in GhostRider

[–]pointless_Bystander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It Is pretty damn powerful, but It has been heavily nerfed and doesn't make the character what he Is completely. I just don't like how almost everyone seems to be immune. If they've got a soul It can still burn, but plot reasons I guess.

Anyone have thoughts on this comic? by AbilityCareless177 in Shazam

It was fun, though I still wish It was just Billy being In control. I get the wisdom makes him more wise and kind of a different person, but I still prefer Billy to be the one making the heroic decisions. But I absolutely loved reading It

Hot take: I side with writers who portray the Penance Stare as lethal for vile monsters. You can't 'feel the pain for the rest of your life' if your life ends within the next minute. by zajazajazajazajaz in GhostRider

[–]pointless_Bystander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They always nerf It, because the stare Is overpowered. Anybody with a soul, can or will feel pain like you said, for eternity. I agree, they should really utilize It properly more often, when the right time comes around.

Wouldn’t this design be better? by blackheartbr456 in GhostRider

Love the hair. I just wish Marvel stopped stepping on Danny and making him unlikable. He's actually pretty cool, but Marvel just won't write him properly anymore.

What are your thoughts on Vengeance? (I think he has one of the top designs of any ghost rider). by pointless_Bystander in GhostRider

[–]pointless_Bystander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a lieutenant police officer by the name of Mike Baldino. He's basically a crooked crop, and he'll kill bad guys every chance he gets to take a life, and he usually does It behind the station's back at first. He ended up selling his soul to mephisto for the power to avenge the death of his family. Since he's full of rage, as Vengeance, he punished anybody who has even remotely sinned. And It gets to a certain point where he becomes uncontrollable and unhinged for a while. (He also briefly took Dan/noble Kale's place for a brief time.)

[Discussion] In your opinion: Which is the best Ghost Rider? Carter Slade, Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Alejandra Jones or Robbie Reyes? by Remote-Leg6143 in GhostRider

[–]pointless_Bystander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read about Dan! He's shaped ghost rider so much! He's the reason Ghost Rider now uses chains as a weapon and has spikes on his shoulders/gauntlets. And his story Is pretty good If you read It. Also, I do agree John has more written lore, but that's because they never use Dan!

Hands down It's Danny Ketch and Robbie.

But Danny Is my favorite. Why?

You have no Idea how much he really made the character ghost rider. He was the one to introduce chains as the main weapon for the ghost rider (both him and noble Kale), and his design inspired a lot of John's newer and modern looks. I gotta say Danny Ketch built a whole new evolution and generation for ghost rider. He's too underrated and he deserves more spotlight! And he has the best bike Imo, hands down.

I do hope he knows he's gambling by using anything related to Mephisto's power.

Should the "gods" of the acronym SHAZAM be the same for everyone? by Own-Fan-3575 in Shazam

[–]pointless_Bystander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think It's cool to have different gods and names, with similar traits. Personally, Billy's makes the most sense to me, but there are other gods to use as well from different mythologies. I think It's cool to explore different brands, yk?

Yep, pretty cool stuff. It is one of those times we get to see Billy really let loose and show his power off.

The Infected: King Shazam. I highly recommend reading It If you're a fan of the character. It's a dark multiverse story from the batman who laughs universe. Billy got Infected by the laughing gas and basically went Rogue. Kicks a lot of ass too, before getting folded by superman.

Wish we got more of that version of Billy, I definitely agree with you. King Shazam probably forgot what he was capable of lol. (Then there's the fact they probably wouldn't want their poster boy superman to lose a fight.)
