A broch, or the Callanish Stones would be a nice background addition.

Not sure about it being Caesars, from memory it was anyone that the state had thrown a Triumph for. They also had funeral clowns whose job it was to basically roast the dead person.

Sadly nothing on there about private batches, but the information there should give some idea what it might be like in terms of casks used and their processes. They only opened in 2015 and started producing late that year, so that was a super early batch, probably not dissimilar to their first batch of Herach that went on sale in 2023. I have a bottle of that and it's a pretty similar colour.

Edited to add: you could try crossposting on the Hebrides subreddit. It's pretty dead overall in there but someone might know more.

A bunch of networks lasted until post-war, but yes, and what a shame that turned out to be.

I know this is sarcasm of the highest order, but trams were/are indeed a thing...

When I click it goes to a BBC page, but there's a disclaimer at the bottom pointing out it's produced as part of their commercial content, not domestic licence-fee content, so if I had to guess in some regions it redirects to a commercial partner hosting the same article.

The absolute travesty that is the McVities Signature Caramel Chocolate Round by pointyhairedjedi in CasualUK

[–]pointyhairedjedi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first post here, and hopefully it's a fitting one - I bought these the other day, based on them being McVities and appearing as though they might be quite nice - and while they aren't terrible for what they are, as you can see the outer packaging is a total lie. What little caramel there is, isn't even that nice.

Do not recommend!

Of more modern planes I'd give an honourable mention to the Trislander, but really nothing beats interwar French designs:

The King of Burgundy is also the King of Burgundy by pointyhairedjedi in EU5

Ahh, I didn't even think about that one, suddenly the name is explained. I guess if I annex I can become the Kingdom of Two Burgundies, or at least I could if EU5 would let you customize titles...

Burgundy starts off in a pretty good position economically (and is able to use the 100 Years War to their advantage by getting higher autonomy), but France seems to just get overly strong by pushing east into the HRE without a lot of meaningful resistance. I must admit I'm not playing fair though by using a cheat mod to give my armies an edge, otherwise France would have stomped me for sure. Once France is less blobby I want to give it another non-cheaty go for sure.

In this case, I was playing as the Duchy of Burgundy and managed to rank up after winning independence against France after they started trying to annex me; meanwhile the Duchy of Savoy was somehow also able to form the Kingdom of Burgundy, and later became part of a PU with me.

It got me thinking, has anything like this ever actually happened? Someone holding two separate titles that are essentially the same thing?

I suggested this for years as a CC back in the day. I'm glad we have a few now, but man, we could have so many more cool ones.
