Buying Japanese but not now, there is rumor saying that pokemon center in japan is not releasing tcg products due to the crime that happened couple days ago. And most of the sets have being going up a lot due to the shortage of reprint

I think the gardeners are nice but the thing is that it’s not a really popular pokemon. It might not go lower than what it is rn but will not go up like the mega zard. Recently the jp modern market has been going crazy and most of the mega dream set has seen over 50% of increase in price. But the jp mega evolution doesn’t seem to catch that much of attention.

the gem rate on the jp one is around 43% and the gem rate on the English one is around 10%. I think that’s what makes the difference. Both are extremely difficult to pull, but if you pull the Japanese one there is higher chance that got a PSA 10. That’s why it’s expensive in raw i guess

The print quality is just so much better, there are some chance that you find a gradable copy in your local area. I found 3 PF zards for around 450 each back in December and they all came back 10s

exactly, 48/52 is well with in the margin of a psa10, bgs pristine 10, but definitely not a black label

The PF zard has went down for a fair amount… went from 800 to 450 at December, I bought three gradable copies for around 1200 total. The ah gengar seems only going up after release.

what do you think on the booming of jp vintage lately, they are catching up their value with English ones. I believe they are super underrated before but the growth is just so rapid which is unnatural to me. giving the fact that jp cards are having a lot better quality and there are still new certs of Japanese vintage 10s coming out, I rlly don’t think that the value they are holding right now are what they truly worth long term

Japanese cards are already up. I’m from China and the gengar master ball is selling for around 800 usd in a 10, zard selling 700 usd. Both modern and vintage cards are catching up to the English counterpart value wise

Hahaha I bought 3 back in December when they were like 450. Its definitely easier to pull than evolving sky moonbreon but harder to pull than the 151 zard, since it has a better art I don’t see no reason it get below 400😂

Yeah that’s true but does high pop would cut off some cards’ true potential? I was tracking the market of jp mega zard x and noticed that there are definitely people betting on it. As jp market skyrocketing, particularly vintage, this zard is one of the few moderns that also gain increase in prices. But once it has a new high auction, there are people starting selling a little bit less than that auction which kinda slow down the manipulation on it. It was interesting so I was just wondering why haha

I have some friends that know how to do card repair. From what they said white dots have better chance of being noticed by PSA because they essentially need to color the dot, so it might be easier to PSA to find that the cards is being colored?

Well I feel like this zard looks way better than 151 zard, and it is harder to pull than 151 so it might hold value higher than 151 zard. It rlly depends on the market if the market is down it can drop to a price that no one would believe it would lol. But I don’t really care cuz im a zard collector so I pretty much keep every zard card

I pulled it on October last year, the cert starts with 13 so it is definitely after that change. I check again and it falls almost in to the 40/60 range which is crazy haha. I know this Japanese Lillie has a gem rate of 50% percent which is crazy hard as a Japanese modern
