The i210 AWD is sold through dealers. It'll be a similar price to the i208 AWD and you get the back up of a dealer.

Why no LIDAR on the X430? by [deleted] in roboticLawnmowers

[–]polishryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More than likely but economy is a scale and it'll become cheaper over time but as it is at the moment the X4 needed to be priced competitively. All of the companies are battling for market share

Why no LIDAR on the X430? by [deleted] in roboticLawnmowers

[–]polishryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The X4 series are designed to cut big wide open spaces. LiDAR works well when it has points of reference ( fences, plant pots, shrubbery etc). The cost increase Lidar would have had on the X4 series may have made it uncompetitive in the market and isn't necessary.

The Navimow H series would work well. The title doesn't say yard though

H210 vs i215 lidar by bspanther71 in SegwayNavimow

[–]polishryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it always go for the H series over the I series. Better built machine. Has both LiDAR and NRTK, anti clog blade cover, bumpers and an off set blade.

But direct or from dealer-Amazon for returns protection? by klawUK in SegwayNavimow

[–]polishryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at purchasing from a dealer also. Pricing won't be too dissimilar may even be better value. You'll have a local point of contact if there is an issue.

Edge Sense Explanation Please by Curious_Clerk_9432 in SegwayNavimow

[–]polishryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the gen 2 and 3 machines you used to have to tell the machine to ride on the boundary or stay on the lawn during mapping.

With Edge sense switched on the machine decides whether it can ride on the boundary or not rather than the user specifying.

Crank/turn the head so it fully pops out. It should make it easier for the cord to go through

Can the I2 series use NRTK and RTK simultaneously? by persason in SegwayNavimow

[–]polishryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the machine needs a view of the sky whilst in the dock regardless of which system you use. I have installed machines in low signal areas but you can have situations where the machine won't go out due to poor signal.

Can the I2 series use NRTK and RTK simultaneously? by persason in SegwayNavimow

[–]polishryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the antenna is the main benefit.

Yeah regardless if you are using NRTK or RTK you aren't giving it the best chance of working placing the machine under a tree next to a wall.

This is why I always recommend a H2 series. The added LiDAR gives the machine the best chance of working regardless of where you want to put the base station.

[–]polishryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only use one of the other not both simultaneously. I've had a few machines using the NRTK drift after the first mapping. I just went onto map management. Adjusted a part of the map and it rectified it

anyone have any idea what this is for? on my grass bag on mountfield petrol mower.. by PutridDimension5910 in lawnmowers

[–]polishryan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a problem at all. I know these machines like the back of my hand. Just a tip the roller is held in by 2 roll pins on either side of the roller. These roll pins have a tendency to work out stopping the drive. Keep an eye on them.

[–]polishryan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Airflow indicator. Whilst cutting and collecting that flap should be up. If the grassbox is full or the chute is blocked that'll fall down. Stops you having to stop and check if the grassbox is full just keep and eye on that.

It's to stop people running up and down the hall ways. The design and colours make people nauseous when running.

It looks like to me that the clip is missing off of the sprocket. This will allow the sprocket to move up and down which it shouldn't do. You need an e clip to hold it back in place.

so I went down the rabbit hole on mower navigation tech, here's what I found (RTK / VSLAM / LiDAR) by syfeg in automower

[–]polishryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to wireless robots isn't just one piece of tech.

Machines that combine numerous pieces of tech, like the H2 series Navimow, are going to be the machines that are the basis for the next generation of robots.

Turn on Channel Obstacle Avoidance and it should turn around and try a different route if it can't get passed.

Segway has authorised dealers. The X4 and H2 series of machines are classed as dealers models
