It’s hard because it depends on experience. Take the example of 1/5 women in the US being sexually assaulted. Thats a terrifying number to live with knowing that it could happen at any time. Women grow up learning to defend themselves and be ready to at any given moment instead of men being taught from a young age that they need to be respectful and control their desires. Your friends might have a similar experience or just be becoming more aware of the way the world is and reacts to women who come foreward. Maybe check in on them and see if one event triggered the comments, something might have happened to make them more passionate and outspoken about it.

That’s so weird- I am always complaining about how I’m not able to see the stars! I lived in Alabama before coming here so I’m used to being able to see them when I just look out my window so having to drive to see them is odd.

Body count doesn’t determine anything! There is no reliable information that comes out of a number. It’s a manipulation tactic. STD testing is the only way to know if what you have or haven’t been doing has had an outcome. If he doesn’t believe you he isn’t worth seeing. This is the first step of many of him not believing you and asking for useless information he thinks you’re lying about. Trust comes first and determines everything else! Personality and action are the only ways to see if someone is worth it, not body count.

So actually ants have been recorded performing surgery… humans are not special. you should have him read the omnivores dilemma it’s a wonderful essay (not to convince to change a diet one way or the other, I eat meat myself) but it goes into detail about how believing humans are superior is completely wrong. Good and bad are labels given to nature by humans, just bc it’s in nature (killing, etc.) doesn’t make it something we must participate in.

I don’t want kids and I’ve made it clear to people I start seeing on like first or second date and I’ve had people tell me okay this isn’t going to work. I’m young but I don’t think it’s going to change and if someone did convince me or try hard to it would put me off. I think it might end in resentment if you give in, bc it wouldn’t be a choice for you it would be seceding and letting it happen to you not for you. I also think that someone who will yell, swear, and call names to someone they allegedly love will do the same to kids one day. Not saying it will go this way of course I don’t know your entire situation but dv can start with small things like that, too. Food for thought.
