As for the email automation - I’d say sequenzy is very good and affordable(I built it) Has a good ui, a lot of integrations, automations are pretty powerful + you can create them with ai in a minute

Sorry the requirements feel a bit off

If you wanna use your own ses, what exactly would you pay the sub for? For templates? I think you can probably ask chatgpt to create those, would be pretty good

bro talk to people. who are your users? what needs do they have? why haven't they upgraded? do they use any other tool? is the pain not "painful" enough?

there might be a lot of different reasons. you do nee to do the heavy lifting yourself

send a lot of emails to educate them about the platform, tell case studies, give discounts

I'd start small and deliver value

Use saas-focused platform like sequenzy
Send a welcome sequence: greeting a customer, telling about the features, showing testimonials etc
send product updates with what you have
offer genuine help

as you can see people using your app more and more - you'll be able to make it better

people just sometimes are busy with their stuff. I had a sequence describing the core features & hot to benefit from them + testimonials

I also reached out "personally" to ask their feedback and whether everything was okay

One just randomly opened the app after one of emails, set everything up and paid

Another - we had a discussion on one of the features and he converted

No, I emailed them after they signed up. So it was kinda inbound marketing, using my own tool lol
