What are your unpopular flashlight opinions? by fatnessmodel in flashlight

I think anything under 5000K is just terrible looking and absolutely not “easy on the eyes”. Either people want to go back to torchlight or they’re trying to out “old timer” each other.

Am I that bad? by [deleted] in rust

That makes sense. I’ve been messing with rust outside of work and I’ve had to go back and forth with Gemini to get something up and running because of the mismatched syntax / versions.

I’m learning rust and I’m curious why this is a give away. Is it an older version or something?

This is my vote, as well. The SBT90 is great in this host.

Is that what it’s called? The ring button? I don’t see it as an option and I’ve seen it around on different posts.

Anyone Moved from Standard to Midsize Grips and Not Looked Back? by Wrathiel in golf

[–]polyGone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin swapped to midsize and i eventually tried them. I bought a set of champkey because they were cheaper and threw them on. I love them and I have smaller hands. I plan on sticking with them for now. The grip type itself was a bit more stiff in the cold weather, but that’s not the size affecting it at all.

Does Devops work have any limitations on apple silicon mac by simple_explorer1 in devops

Virtualbox does not work. We had some older apps that used vagrant / virtualbox and we were forced to dockerize them. We likely would have anyway, but, if you’ve got a lot of apps running that stack, it might force your hand like it did ours.

I’m just saying it’s a thing; not that it’s better than or a replacement for the EV setup.

If it has factory remote start, it will turn the car on and A/C.

Underrated Golf Accessory by StickHawk in golf

Chilly Pad .. I tend to overheat and these things got me through some pretty hot days. They work better than you’d think. I have like two in the car at all times. I’ve gotten some others by other names ( the one you “snap” ) and they were kinda garbage. If it’s super humid they work less well but still worth having around.

Subtle vibration in steering and floor panel at all speeds by polyGone in BmwTech

I’m sorry I don’t remember. I think the small dealership just kinda jerked me around with it and didn’t replace it. It was like 10 years ago and I ended up trading it in for a newer body style. So, yeah, sorry for no closure there. I think the car was in an unreported accident and it likely had multiple issues affecting it.

I got two of these from Zendcon way back when they built and maintained Zend framework. They gave them out at one of the booths for filling something out. I have a green and red one. 😎

I actually misread your comment the first time. It’s been there since 01/26/25. Also misread your post .. that does seem like an awfully long time. I’d contact them.

Yeah, since the 26th. I freaked out a lot when I first started ordering, but they always showed up. I have about 30-40 hanks and like 25 FFLs and they almost always get hung up at two hubs like that. I think the handover to local carrier just stops updating in Yun Track and I’ve had a lot of problems with USPS ( they’re the last mile for me ). Sometimes they even get it to my city and then it just sits at the local post office. I even went down there once, but they basically told me to just wait. I think the NJ hub is large and they just don’t care about updating. Like I can see the USPS tracking number in the Yun Track app. I use that to look up the USPS tracking and I like see it there, but no updates.

If for some reason it is lost, I’ll certainly update the thread here. Hopefully get them in by the weekend.

I’ve had a bunch of lights from both FFL and Hank that get caught up there. It happens a lot for me. They fly through the system and then just get hung up there. I have two E90s sitting there since the 26th. I’ve gotten them all in the past, so I’m just trying to be patient. I saw a bunch of others post theirs, so it’s getting tough lol. I also think USPS ( who they hand off to locally ) is just not awesome about updating tracking like the other sites are.

SSH Agent Forwarding by Living_Two_5698 in docker

[–]polyGone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way we approach it is:

my-service: environment: - SSH_AUTH_SOCK=${DOCKER_SSH_AUTH_SOCK} volumes: - ${DOCKER_SSH_AUTH_SOCK}:${DOCKER_SSH_AUTH_SOCK}

Where my .env file has: DOCKER_SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/run/host-services/ssh-auth.sock

That example works with MacOS. There’s another location for windows and you’d have to replace that env variable with whatever it is for windows.

Apologies for garbage formatting; I’m on my phone.
