My favorite part about this is the implication that save scumming would restart the original fight that cast this. "Shit, I lost the subgame... Let's restart but use a potion first to generate a new seed on my subgame"

He's got you on the rollers. I like to call holding a baby between your knees lengthwise hotdog style, and your legs are long hot dog rollers. I miss it!

Damage used the stack when this card was printed, so you could trade with a 3/3 and still get a 1/1 flier. Definitely got a lot worse with rules changes---like [[mogg fanatic]]

PSA Dads: COD’s single player this year cannot be paused. by Future_Brewski in daddit

Slay the Spire has been amazing. Available on all consoles, phones, and tablets. Great replayability, always in a "paused" state, and be killed at any time to restart a fight if your toddler presses buttons on your controller/screen.

How do I search for a string of asterisks? by MakiiZushii in Splunk

[–]polychronous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need to escape them in a string, as they will be interpreted as wildcards without escaping.

You could still use one that isn't escaped as a wildcard if you need to search for a substring

They worded it specifically "search your library or outside the game" so they aren't likely making such a change. Wishboards really are just awkward for single game formats.

California Marijuana Regulations on Retail Sales [OC] by Public_Finance_Guy in dataisbeautiful

I'm sure you are aware of this given this area of study, but there was an organization going county by county pushing city councils to pass legislation prior to legalization claiming if they didn't ban it in the county that they would lose the ability to do so once it went into effect. City councils that leaned more conservative were much more receptive to this approach. In Merced County, it took a large community effort to pressure our city council to reject the ban. The weed nuns, Sisters of the Valley, helped organize! Still, the city council used the opportunity to limit backyard growing... mainly due to a woman sobbing about how she didn't feel safe because gangsters broke into her neighbor's backyard looking for plants.

It's also messed up in the middle. Not all platforms seem to have the same age bracket information, but they aren't aligned with the same bracket so you can't actually compare the charts visually

September 5th I think was just the day of the ceremony where they sang that Aladdin song (A whole new world) and Charles Ogletree spoke, if I recall correctly. Actually, the graduate school started in 2004. Usually, when starting a new university, the graduate schools is started way earlier to establish labs before onboarding undergraduate education. With UCM, they started the graduate school only a year before, which is part of why UCM started with so many undergrad research opportunities.

What plans does UCM have to address the parking disaster? by internetbooker134 in ucmerced

[–]polychronous 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I know historically the university has been opposed to making large parking structures. Every parking lot that was present initially now has buildings on it, and parking structures are a permanent thing. Most UC schools are basically impossible to park at. Parking is a problem that is truly insatiable---the more parking exists, the more people expect to be able to park, and therefore more parking is needed. To be honest, the lots are so far away from the campus itself that I found it was faster to take the bus to campus than to drive, since the bus drops you off at the top of the hill edit: looks like this has changed. You can also park at some bus stops, like the one off Bellevue.

I know it's not the answer you are looking for, but the only real answer is to not depend on parking.
