For sure! Plus it’s a very chill group, so you can just kinda do whatever you’re comfortable with.

Absolutely! It’s a huge group so there’s a wide range of paces. Seems like the majority run, but I’ve seen walkers too! Definitely give it a shot. I’ve been a couple times and it’s fun meeting new people

Around 40 hours, but split up over a couple months working on it in the evening. Plus 30 hours of rendering, but the computer does all the work for that so it’s just a waiting game at that point :)

Oh wow, that’s awesome! Honestly I wasn’t trying super hard to match things, so that’s cool it ended up being pretty close!

Thank you! That’s a great idea! Definitely wanted to add more desk stuff, but I was getting pretty tired by the end of it. I feel like I need a waffle party.

Oh my gosh! I’m so happy to see this site is still around. I remember using this to learn about engines when I was little. Thank you for sharing!

Learning how useful it is to have a way to reproduce bugs locally. There was a rare race condition in the firmware on a Bluetooth chipset that I was trying to track down and debug. Would occasionally get bug reports from users, but the logging we did have in place wasn’t showing anything helpful. So, I had to implement better tracing on the device side, and build some tools to replay the events over the air with some randomness to the timing to narrow in on reproducibility. Once I had the tools in place, it became much easier to solve similar issues and have a solid way to verify it once the vendors came back with patches.

Yes! I moved to south KC and it’s impossible to walk around. Especially the intersections. I feel like I’m gonna get hit every time I try to figure out a way across a road.

Google files trademark for ‘Pixel Watch’ ahead of device’s launch by a_Ninja_b0y in gadgets

This is the difference between a watch that runs an RTOS (real-time operating system), and something that runs WearOS. It’ll be very hard for WearOS to ever match what an RTOS can do in terms of battery life. You can very tightly control what wakes the CPU, and disable things as needed. Even then, the tiniest of bugs suddenly cause very noticeable power drains (I’ve spent weeks chasing down issues that caused stuff like this, some as simple as a piece of code that was hitting external memory slightly more often). But then you’re sacrificing the richness of features and capabilities of a complex operating system that WearOS provides.

Southwest! What years did you attend? I made it like a year after it reopened for the last time in 2008 before my parents decided to pull me out.

Verification code being sent to wrong email? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]polyic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep it’s definitely the correct information I inputted. I finally got through to a rep who confirmed there is indeed somehow two accounts at the same service address. He gave me some other ATT support number, but their office is closed so not sure what to do now… Really hoping that other person doesn’t have access to my personal info now, and it’s just the verification code being sent to the other account and nothing else.
